bluebatt Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 ok we were rubbish tonite no fight no nothing, also what does our CAPTAIN do when the going gets tough, gee up the players ,start fighting to get the ball back showing the other players not to give up. no he digs himself a hole in the turf and sticks his head in hoping somebody else will do his job. he has done this in the last 4 games ,he only comes to light up when were winning. give the job to someone who is willing to fight and gee up the players and shout when something goes wrong like walshy,elliot,lennon and sorry i hate to say it even savage gave his all. perhaps give the job to wellens as he,s the one who cares to get stuck in time and again.

Brilliant. Our 22 year old top goalscoring midfielder and ever present for about 3 years straight isn't geeing up the players. He may not be captain material right now but this is getting seriously boring.

If he's not scoring or hitting the bar it appears as though he's doing nothing because nobody considers defensive positioning, tracking back, breaking forward, defensive headers and simple passes to team-mates. But yeah, King. What a joke this guy is. I know for a fact when he's gone and playing well in a Premier League side we won't miss him and his anonymous ways. We'll just pluck out another young, gifted, goalscoring midfielder from the arse end of nowhere and he'll lead us to glory and actually turn up in every game he plays in. Because producing and finding goalscoring midfielders is an absolute speciality of ours.

He can't tackle or pass.
broughtonblue Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 Didn't go last night, but against cov I thought he took up some really good positions just in front of their back four. Often he was playing on a defenders shoulder just waiting for a pass to be slid through. Unfortunately our team seem to have forgotten how to pass a ball recently. He surely has to be in the team because of the threat he poses?

smudger63 Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 For me, kings a bit of a luxury player. I would have him in my team every week, because he is always likely to pop up with a goal or two, but, he is not a creative midfielder, and he`s not a ball winner either, certainly not in terms of his tackling, although he does read the game well at times. It is also true that he seems to go missing in games, but he`s one of them players that you never notice, then from no where he pops up with a goal, which makes it very difficult to leave him out. I do think though, that when he plays, we need to play the extra midfielder.
