acooling08 Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 Ricardo - 3 - He cost us the first goal. Came out and got NO WHERE near the ball and left the goal open. Ok after that. Naughton - 6 - Decent but was marked out of the game. Bamba - 6 - A bit shaky today. Bruma - 5 - He was ok. Mee - 6 - Started badly but showed passion towards the end. (Defenders consistently beaten in the air by Kitson) Gally - 6 - Some good balls in, Pompey were too physical for him. Abe - 5 - He was ok. King - 4 - Yet again, he was absent. Wellens - 4 - Did nothing. Vassell - 6 - Good runs but CROSS/SHOOT FFS. Yak - 2 - I hate this man/blob. He did nothing and wasted chances yet again. Waggy & Dyer - 3 - Barely touched it. Sven - 3 - Changed winning side, bad subs, can't get the players fired up.
MC Prussian Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 Ricardo - 5 Naughton - 6 Bamba - 4 Bruma - 3 Mee - 4 Abe - 5 Wellens - 3 King - 1 Gallagher - 4 Vassell - 3 Yakubu - 2 Subs: Dyer - 5 Waghorn - 4 Sven - lost the plot today

acooling08 Posted 19 March 2011 Author Posted 19 March 2011 Shut up you spoon. Ok stand up for him against fact. He came out and left the goal open and got absolutely no where near the ball.
sg6 Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 everyone 4's, except abe and wellens both 5 and king and yak get 2's. POOR!!!!
lcfcsnow Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 Ricardo - 3 - He cost us the first goal. Came out and got NO WHERE near the ball and left the goal open. Ok after that. No, that was Bamba pissing about giving the ball away and then failing to defend the cross. He is a liability, how on earth could Vitor be dropped for todays game. Naughton - 7 King - 0.2 Yakubu 1 Everyone else 3.
Bert Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 Ricardo 5. Where was he for their goal? Naughton 6. Only decent player. Mee 2. Abysmal. Bamba 5. Not up to standards. Bruma 5. Don't understand why he played, but did ok. King 3. Another awful performance. Abe 4. Not great, but can you blame him? Wellens 4. Huffed and puffed through the game. Gallagher 5. Showed a bit of passion, set-pieces weren't great. Vassell 3. Did nothing. Yak 3. Laughable. Dyer 4. Headless chicken. Waggy 4. Did nothing.
m00nie Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 Ok stand up for him against fact. He came out and left the goal open and got absolutely no where near the ball. did he come out??? bamba headed it out styraight from the corner and it came straight in for the goal
Webbo Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 We weren't brilliant today but there are some massive over reactions on here. 3s and 1s ffs have a word with yourselves. Ricardo - 6 I'm not one of his haters but he cost us today. Naughton - 7 Decent game almost got us a point. Bamba - 6 Bruma - 7.5 Had a good game. Mee - 6.5 Poor first half, better second. Gally - 7 Showed some effort. Abe - 6. No worse than king King - 6 Missed 2 good chances Wellens - 6. Vassell - 6 No lack of effort, no end product. Yak - 6 Can somebody explain to me why he is an improvement on Fryatt. Subs Dyer-5 No impact Waghorn-5 worse than Vassell.
zubi Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 did he come out??? bamba headed it out styraight from the corner and it came straight in for the goal Yeah he did, he tried to punch it away (no surprise there) but he completly missed the ball, you can see from his body langauge that he knew he made a big mistake.

Legend_in_blue Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 Yakubu - 1 - Go home and save us the wages. We can put them to good use next season instead.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 Ricardo - 5 - ****ed up for the goal and then had nothing to do. Naughton - 7 Bamba - 4 Bruma - 3 Mee - 3 Abe - 4 Wellens - 3 King - 3 Gallagher - 2 Vassell - 4 Yakubu - 2 Subs: Dyer - 5 Waghorn - 4
acooling08 Posted 19 March 2011 Author Posted 19 March 2011 did he come out??? bamba headed it out styraight from the corner and it came straight in for the goal Yes, thats why it wasn't saved. Nugent only hit it lightly but Ricardo was off his line.
Brown Fox Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 Was I the only one that thought Abe and Gally were the best on our team today? Naughton is quality but he was not good at all today mainly because he got marked out of the game with 2 on him all game. Abe was spraying balls all over, sticking his foot in and even going past people. Gallys set pieces were actually all right and his corners were good but frustrating with the short, 'clever' free kick. Also got stuck in much more and won headers! Should have scored but the way he took it down deserved a goal. All in all a shit day
m00nie Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 just seen the goal on davieg post.. ricardo did balls up then..
acooling08 Posted 19 March 2011 Author Posted 19 March 2011 There will always be a few sad cvnts who will refuse to accept that Ricardo gave them to the first goal.
Guest ttfn Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 Ricardo 4 - His fault for the goal. Subsequently unimaginative distribution, but his kicking accuracy is a million times better than Weale. Naughton 5 - Didn't get forward anywhere near enough, yet still almost got a goal. Bamba 5 - Looked like a £200k centre back today. Bruma 5 - Not sure about him. Vitor's omission was astonishing. Mee 3 - Really poor. Abe 6 - Put himself about as usual. Unfortunate to be replaced, given the other two's performances... Wellens 4 - Completely off the boil for at least a month. Misplaced passes and constantly intimidated by Pompey's pressing. King 3 - Barely involved and yet still found the time to miss 2 reasonable headed opportunities. Gallagher 6 - Our best player today. His delivery was good from corners (although some of the free kick deliveries were woeful). Only spark of creativity out there today. That said, a blind man could have seen that he should have rounded the keeper when one-on-one. Yakubu 2 - I've lost patience. Vassell 4 - Why is nobody telling him to keep running when he gets the beating of the full back. He turns back on himself EVERY time, and then just plays a simple sideways pass. Infuriating. subs: Dyer 5 - Looked lively Waghorn 3 - Took up very few decent positions and seems to have no concept of the height of the goal. Not really sure what Sven could have done other than start with Vitor - the players just weren't interested.
Haydos Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 There will always be a few sad cvnts who will refuse to accept that Ricardo gave them to the first goal. I'm not defending him, it was poor keeping. Our defending is literally just as much to blame though. People love a scapegoat.
Thracian Posted 19 March 2011 Posted 19 March 2011 Ricardo 3 (All for his distribution. Otherwise he had one important thing to do, fluffed it and cost us a goal andultimately the game. He never shows any authority dealing with crosses). Naughton 6.5 (One excellent shot which might have got us an equaliser and an acceptable all-round shift). Bamba - 5.5 (Some good things but vulnerable at others and clearly impeded Ricardo with the cross that led to the goal. Lack of communication?.). Bruma 5.5 (Was arguably the guy who shold have picked up Nugent - certainly someone should in that position. Never put under much pressure once Portsmouth went ahead but okay. Neither centre-back looked a goal threat.). Mee 6 (I couldn't believe how one-footed he looked and how unconvincing he was early on. He stayed involved and had a reasonable second half) Gally 6 (At least tried to make things happen in various ways and had arguably our best chance when he failed to beat their keeper when one on one. Abe 5 (Won his share of the ball but his passing was awful and, once again, he posed no goal threat for all his industry). King 5.5 (Two headers from crosses that were just a b it too high for him. Competent enough on the ball but lacked the drive and urgency to have a lot of impact. Seems to have become a bit overshadowed by Yakubu - and the same might apply to Vassell. Certainly all the passing and moving they were involved in seems to have gone). Wellens 4.5 (Nothing really came off for him and he seems to have lost that crispness that lifted his game from good to almost excellent. Being fair I don't think the runners or the options were there for him to use). Vassell 5.5 (STarted well, apart from his final crosses, but faded) Yak 4 (Perhaps more involved than in some of his recent games but, where it counts, in and around the box, his finishing was anything but Premiership class) . Subs Dyer 4 (One dangerous low cross which should have at least produced a threat had anyone committed themselves forward but they didn't. Otherwise I just don't think we used him or gave him the support needed to let him run at people) Waghorn 2 (Had one great chance from medium range and, as is so typical, just blasted it over the bar). Sven and Faz: 2 (A fifth of the marks available and I'm probably being generous cos we didn't do ourselves justice for that percentage of the game. Dropping Vitor made no sense after his two goals and our clean sheet away from home. We didn't attempt to impose our will on the game and as against other decent teams we didn't go out as if we believed in what we were doing. There really were so many failings today it's not worth discussing them. Put bluntly, I wasn't impressed at all - not with the little things or the big things).

Cost us it more than Ricardo, if Nugent's marked up then it's not a goal.
