Legend_in_blue Posted 25 March 2011 Posted 25 March 2011 After yesterday's fantastic news of him renewing for another season, this happens! Ah well. Never mind.
Marcus1995 Posted 25 March 2011 Posted 25 March 2011 Still think the guy is good but that was the right thing to do! Good call oakley
scinnell Posted 25 March 2011 Posted 25 March 2011 Didnt have a lot of respect for this guy after Derby away last season, but have to say now the respects gone back up for him
Wymsey Posted 25 March 2011 Posted 25 March 2011 Oakley is our Beckham (Leader) and King is our Terry (loyal)
shailen Posted 25 March 2011 Posted 25 March 2011 Oakley is our Beckham (Leader) and King is our Terry (loyal) Terry is loyal...dont think so ask wayne bridge
thybluefox Posted 25 March 2011 Posted 25 March 2011 Fair play to him! hopefully he can step into the background and concentrate on his game now.
ajthefox Posted 25 March 2011 Posted 25 March 2011 Oakley might not be the best of our players but he is obviously a good professional and you've got to respect him for something like this, even though it may be a little overdue. And as for Kingy being club captain, well..
Bert Posted 25 March 2011 Posted 25 March 2011 You can't fault the guy for this. He might not be everyones cup of tea, but hd always gives 100%, and he's done what he feels is right for the club. This is very refreshing to read. Well done Mr Oakley.
Corky Posted 25 March 2011 Posted 25 March 2011 Acting in the best interests and future of the club. Good man.
ozleicester Posted 25 March 2011 Posted 25 March 2011 Good 6ecision, i respect Oakley and i dont question his effort for the club Mind you, he signed his new contract this week..one would assume this was part of the agreement. Which means the next to be signed is King...who can now be offered the Captains armband as part of his new contract, another carrot for him... and an added expense should anyone wish to purchase our club captain. Congrats to Oakley, King, Sven and the club

Congrats to Oakley, King, Sven and the club Exactly what I was thinking, still he has handled it well and said the right things, so fair play.
Len Finsbury Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 Nice gesture from him although handing it over was probably the carrot for his new deal.
Dan Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 Opinion of him just skyrocketed. Cannot fault that one bit.
