Salieri Posted 1 April 2011 Posted 1 April 2011 And why does "The Dripping Pan" one sound really disgusting in my mind. Just look at the ones you highlighted Mikey, you just can't help yourself.
StanSP Posted 1 April 2011 Posted 1 April 2011 18 cracked me up. Are these only football stadium names? In the Cricket World Cup, there's a Wankhede Stadium. Mark Nicholas and Geoffrey Boycott, I'm sure, were having a competition at how many times they could mention it.
MikeyT Posted 1 April 2011 Posted 1 April 2011 Just look at the ones you highlighted Mikey, you just can't help yourself. C'mon, you telling me that you weren't thinking the same things.
MPH Posted 1 April 2011 Posted 1 April 2011 Whataburger Field lol I howled. whataburger is a really cheesy sounding diner chain franchise thingy over here.... but cant knock their prices or their food!
21st Century Fox Posted 1 April 2011 Author Posted 1 April 2011 My favourite had to be Gaylord Entertainment Center, seriously how did that even get past the suggestion stage!!

Alexikokopops Posted 1 April 2011 Posted 1 April 2011 Are these only football stadium names? Yep, definitely only football names 3. Jobing.com Arena - Arizona, USA Phoenix Coyotes (ice hockey) 4. VinceNoir Posted 2 April 2011 Posted 2 April 2011 I wish we had Arnold Schwarzenegger stadium! That would be immense! Imagine if the away team won, 3000 spikes would come through the seats their fans are on, and Arnold's voice would ring out the stadium speakers yelling STICK AROUND!
Jimothy Posted 2 April 2011 Posted 2 April 2011 Thought the Sturm Graz stadium had changed it's name from the Arnold Schwarznegger Stadium years ago, because he didn't stop an execution in California.
ajthefox Posted 2 April 2011 Posted 2 April 2011 some crackers in there... For what it's worht though to the Americans I don't think it matters as much as it does for us. I'm not sure how it is for baseball and basketball, but most of the NFL teams that exist were from a different part of the country at some point, and there are franchises which are only a couple of decades old. You'd certainly be hard pressed to find many grounds that had been called the same thing since the turn of the 19th century until they were got rid of, which is fairly common here.
