Finnegan Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 “Religion is the impotence of the human mind to deal with occurrences it cannot understand” Oh, Karl.
Steven Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 Steven may take any form of the family Camelidae; be it camel, dromedary, llama or alpaca. Steven is all powerful. I meant humans in general, to be fair, not just uniquely Paris Hilton. All kneel before me or feel my vengeance.
Wycombe Fox Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 I meant humans in general, to be fair, not just uniquely Paris Hilton. I thought you'd had a bad experience with Paris Hilton
The Doctor Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 If Steven really was the creator there would be no photos of him as have been posted - the fact that there are no pictures of holy leopards makes me suspect that the real creator was a leopard named Colin.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 Sub-human scum, the lot of you! I for one welcome our insect overlords. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=86zPFR4R0Ko
BoneDog Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 “Religion is the impotence of the human mind to deal with occurrences it cannot understand” You do realise that this quote was (supposedly) said by a 32nd degree freemason, which means that he himself does believe in the unseen? All top level masons believe in The Grand Architect of the Universe so this simple fact alone is enough to show that if he did make this statement then there was an agenda behind it. The same can be said about all these so called famous atheists who come out spouting their Darwinist crap that is based on faux 'scientific' facts. They are all masons and all believe in the GAOTU. Agenda driven, the lot of them. Edit : But it is a nice soundbite.
zubi Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 I believe in god... I cant get to terms of evolution... if we evolved from monkeys... why are there still monkeys? Although I can see similarities
Libertine Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 Because we didn't. And besides, we all evolved from fish etc in the first place and there are still fish. It's about certain groups splitting off, blahblah.
acooling08 Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 I believe in God, yes, and am currently a practising Anglican Christian. But I'm not going to suggest for one second that I would be so unbelievably arrogant to completely rule out the possibility that I'm "living a lie". That's the beauty of belief, of course we can't prove there's a God; although when you look around at how beautiful this planet and everything on it is, it kind of makes any other explanation look pretty feeble. Enlighten yourself
Libertine Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 Will we ever evolve into anything else? Probably slight differences like hair etc. I guess toes could eventually change a fair bit. All depends on environment etc. I can't say, I'm not God. Or am I? Enlighten yourself Thou shalt not cook a goat in its mother's milk!

Libertine Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 You mean we wont grow wings and have the ability to breathe fire... Evolution sux Get practicing and maybe your descendants will.
Phube Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 Alpacas are cuter than Llamas. Which are, in turn, cuter than Camels. [/thread] Couldn't agree more... here's an alpaca I've had a close encounter with!
AdamN Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 I became religious for about half an hour during my childhood, whilst trying to defeat that level with the rolling spikes on Tomb Raider 3. After countless unsuccessful attempts, I looked to the Almighty Lord in desperation, praying for help and guidance, but even after seeking divine intervention, poor Lara continued impaling herself in a futile attempt to press all the switches. In the end I had to turn to the good book - the Playstation A-Z of tips and cheats, thus renouncing my faith.
BoneDog Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 I for one welcome our insect overlords. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=86zPFR4R0Ko I don't think I've ever seen a full episode of that programme! I've probably seen 30 minutes of it tops. Shocking but true.
zubi Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 Get practicing and maybe your descendants will. , well as a muslim I don't think it will happen, so I wont be swallowing matches thank you very much

That's how I started, but I defeated the spikes so obviously never looked back and gave thanks to the Big Man!

Isn't there any scientific evidence in the Bible to atleast hint at gods existence? Oh and I agree with you about the beauty of the planet, I can't believe that a microscopic Sperm cell and Egg cell can create a fully functional human being by chance. I find that really fascinating.
BoneDog Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 As evolution/Darwinism always comes up in these threads I'll chuck a bit into the mix. In the article 'Toward a New Science of Life,' EIR journalist Jonathan Tennenbaum makes the following the statement concerning Darwinism: "Now, it is easy to show that Darwinism, one of the pillars of modern biology, is nothing but a kind of cult, a cult religion. I am not exaggerating. It has no scientific validity whatsoever. Darwin's so-called theory of evolution is based on absurdly irrational propositions, which did not come from scientific observations, but were artificially introduced from the outside, for political-ideological reasons.* If you find this hard to believe, just have a close look at Charles Darwin's classic work, first published in 1859, usually known as Origin of the Species. Actually, the full title is more ominous: 'Origin of the Species by Means of Natural Selection or the Preservation of the Favored Races'. As Darwin himself states very clearly, the essential idea for this theory came from Thomas Malthus." If anyone wants to read more of this hot potato, here is the full article : EIR Tennenbaum - Toward a True Science of Life *The following quote is from another article reagarding the Tennenbaum piece that I find interesting : "Given Darwinism's roots in occult Freemasonry and its expedient promotion of an emergent species of supermen (i.e., the elite), this is a fairly accurate assessment. Charles Darwin acted as the elite's apostle, preaching the new secular gospel of evolution. Darwinism could be considered a Freemasonic project, the culmination of a publicity campaign conducted by the Lodge."
Matt Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 No, and I have my opinions about (ALL) religion which I have aired before and it's nothing bad but don't want to get into the arguement. All I will say though is I know religious people who go to church just so bad things don't happen...bad things still happen, they still believe though.
BoneDog Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 And y'all ought to get this book down ya necks. Word. The Ascendancy of the Scientific Dictatorship
Wycombe Fox Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 I read a book on Camel Racing once by Al Packer
