Dylan Posted 23 April 2011 Posted 23 April 2011 Well we've got 3 games left now which are pretty meaningless. I feel we should use these to give some of the youngsters and OUR players a chance. No point with playing ALL the loanees like the Yak/Bruma/PVA as its unlikely they'll return next season. I wouldn't mind Naughton/Mee playing as they actually have shown they want to win, and have generally had a good attitude, and is a slight chance we could get them for next season. I'd give Adam Smith the keeper a game, a taste of Championship football. Also, call a few more of our under18s to the squad, giving them a chance. Now that the pressures off, I wouldn't be surprised if we play some good football and win our last 3 with ease. Thoughts?

What points to play for though really? We're not goign to get relegated and were not goign to get promoted and we only have a few games left. Why waste those games fielding players that wont be here next season, when you have the chance to bring out some potential talent on the big stage with little to no risk.

It bugs me that people always say that when our Loanees play well it's because "they want to win" and when they don't play well, it's 'cus "they don't care". If you saw Yak's reaction yesterday, you can tell he wanted to win. Doesn't mean he played well though. Playing well =/= caring. /Rant over

If they are good enough, if they are the next Sheehan or Beswick then what's the point? Sven will know who the best of the bunch are and if he thinks they are good enough.

Christoph Posted 23 April 2011 Posted 23 April 2011 It's not like the youngsters all have to go on and play 90 minutes, I dont see no harm fielding one and subbing if they struggle or if we're winning put them out. Our team has lacked abit of grit and passion lately, surely if your a youngster being given a chance on the big scene then your going to try your hardest and go for it. Our youngsters got pretty far in the youth FA cup so its not like we dont have the potential.

bigneville Posted 23 April 2011 Posted 23 April 2011 Can you see the owners letting Sven try things out in the last three games? There is a financial reward for finishing higher up the league. It may not be massive, but the owners are going to want to Sven to finish as high as possible. There will be tinkering to the team and rightfully so, but I would expect a strong Leicester line up in every game. There can be as much as 500k difference between finising 7th and 13th.

Play our best team imo I wouldnt want to waste my hard earned cash going to watch a game with the kids in .They can do all that in pre-season freindlies not matches that count nine points up for grabs it would be nice to get them
