Stevosevic Posted 15 May 2011 Posted 15 May 2011 real funny. Chill. I think people are getting this a bit out of proportion considering he hasn't even signed for us, get worked up once he is a Leicester player, not when he is linked as being a "player we are looking at" Even if he does sign, i won't stop supporting Leicester. There are probably people on this forum who may work with someone who has committed a similiar offence, but you wouldn't stop working with this person. If he signs, he signs, not much we can do about it. I'm sure some of our other young players treat women like s**t but in other ways, i still support them every week. We don't have a team of 11 saints running around every Saturday.

Fox You Forest Posted 15 May 2011 Posted 15 May 2011 Is that a job description? does he loosen things for people?
rico Posted 15 May 2011 Posted 15 May 2011 Is that a job description? does he loosen things for people? i thought poppers did that???
davieG Posted 15 May 2011 Posted 15 May 2011 Is that a job description? does he loosen things for people? I thought alcohol did that.
stockyfox Posted 15 May 2011 Posted 15 May 2011 you missed Stan Collymore off your list No I didn't 'miss him off the list', I didn't include him!! Stan C made eleven appearances for the Foxes, scoring six goals, three of which he scored on his home debut in that absolutely unforgettable 5 -2 win against Sunderland. Emile Heskey led the attack that day. Colly had led the attack the week before at Watford but that was the only occasion he did so. He came to Leicester with a history of controversy and there was a genuine wish that as said in oFF&F that rehabilitation would be a key word but he didn't get on with Peter Taylor, had a bust-up with Trevor Benjamin and left, later admitting that he was being treated for clinical depression. Very sad because he was so talented!
Fox You Forest Posted 15 May 2011 Posted 15 May 2011 I thought alcohol did that. Hmm, might have to do some research about 11, in the name of science.

Very sad because he was so talented! but did he not publicly hit a woman? surely theres not much difference between him and King in that aspect, yet you choose to call him a talent oh and you put Bobby Davison on your list
lcfcsnow Posted 15 May 2011 Posted 15 May 2011 If Leicester fans hadn't got on their high horse refusing to accept warnock becoming our manager in 2007 we'd have been promoted instead of relegated. This is similar to that. Some even have the cheek to moan at yak this season, really can't win whatever happens. I say sign marlon king for a year, I'd rather we sign a troubled striker that scores goals than a striker that doesn't. (Heskey) But ideally we won't sign either.

Though, it was witnessed by a number of people as i remember. Certainly don`t remember collymore having 14 convictions though! That said, while i would rather we didn`t sign King, if we did, and he scored 20 odd goals next season, there wouldn`t be one goal that he scored that i wouldn`t celebrate. Wouldn`t chant his name though, and even if he came and scored 50 goals, i still wouldn`t vote for him as player of the season, like that cov lot!
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 15 May 2011 Posted 15 May 2011 no i wont chill thank you very much- i'll say what i like. and if i dont think your joke is very funny i'll tell you..... you make a joke about hitting women and you expect not to get a reaction? you expect people to ignore it? oh hahaha he was only joking lads. Firstly, I don't ever remember the club consulting all the fans before an appointment Secondly, the bit about promotion is just speculation. There is absolutely no base for your claims and yet you claim it would have happened as if it was certified fact. These are similar instances in that to some degree, they would both effect our season but what you said is just utter rubbish. Also, whilst the joke on the previous page doesn't bother me, it was a fvcking stupid thing to say.
MPH Posted 15 May 2011 Posted 15 May 2011 Now, now, calm down old chap!. its good to have you back..... but may i just clarify on something.... YOU are advising someone to chill? as in... YOU advising someone on over reacting?
MPH Posted 15 May 2011 Posted 15 May 2011 yeah, chill yeah you've never got upset on here before either.... i mean... couple of people want to get you to go to a game.. your FIRST ever game and.. well.. someone even offered to pay for you to go!
davieG Posted 16 May 2011 Posted 16 May 2011 Has he signed yet? I think he's down the Probation Office this morning reporting that he's no longer employed.
Brainy Posted 16 May 2011 Posted 16 May 2011 your FIRST ever game and.. well.. well first thats not true, and even if it was I dont really understand whats too comical about it someone even offered to pay for you to go! also bullshit, i got offered a lift. from daggers. he knows where he can stick it.

vandamman Posted 16 May 2011 Posted 16 May 2011 Going back to the transfer... I would like to sign him, then again I wouldn't. He's clearly a good player in the championship and will undoubtedly bag a few goals. However, he is still very much unproven in the premiership and even in the championship he's had seasons where he hasn't scored many at all, which worries me. The situation I don't want us getting in, is that he haggles for a reasonably big contract, content with the money he's getting he doesn't perform. He is only in it for the money proven when he took a long while negiogiating a contract at Coventry even when there were no other clubs willing to give him a chance. Sven has said that he is looking at players who can get us in the premiership and keep us there, the Yak is one of those players, King I don't think is. I think we can do better.
Brainy Posted 16 May 2011 Posted 16 May 2011 chill. what? just correcting your statements. dont see the issue with that.
Lcfclee Posted 20 May 2011 Posted 20 May 2011 Due to sign a new contract rumoured to be 3 years this is unofficial as it's come from a Coventry fan I work with but widely expected to sign in next few days .................. Thank god
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 20 May 2011 Posted 20 May 2011 its good to have you back..... but may i just clarify on something.... YOU are advising someone to chill? as in... YOU advising someone on over reacting? Yep! I guess you're right M.P.H. A little ironic, I must confess. , Hey Ho it's right grand to be back though.
