Do you reckon it's all just a marketing ploy for King Power? I'm going to be gutted if our summer signings include Ledley King, the old Man City player Paul Power, author Stephen King, Mean Fiddler founder Vince Power, the band King Crimson, Austin Powers and King Juan Carlos of Spain. If the players run out to Adam & the Ants' "Kings of the Wild Frontier" and Cliff Richard's "Power to all our friends", I'll be sending my season ticket back.

MPH Posted 11 May 2011 Posted 11 May 2011 According to First4LCFC on twitter, a deal is being struck now!! they were quoting a supposed transfer target from football rumors a couple of days ago. They also a couple of days ago that the Shay Given deal was a done deal They know NOTHING. All they do is watch the forums and copy any rumours they read. Please people do not post their stuff as some kind of inside info, watch this forum... what they post comes from here anyway. You just have to put something in the contract which says that if he misbehaves off the pitch (i.e. get arrested again) then his contract is void and can be released without pay. That should deter him if he isn't a reformed man. Trouble is we can sign him but if we have to cancel his contract half way though the season then it messes up our plans somewhat and have to find a big name strijer. we wwere lucky to do it this time with Yakubu but that wont always be possible...

crafty fox Posted 11 May 2011 Posted 11 May 2011 its looking like more than a rumour that king will sign for us i just wanted to know why the fans were calling him during saturdays game when he hasnt really done much more than say stan collymore did to ulrika, i imagine if he was at the game sat he would of recieved a rousing reception, i personally dont give a shit who we sign as long as we get out this league cos thats when the real ambition of the owners will be shown ! typical fickle minority of city fans who i presume was the same group who targeted ricardo for punching/ flapping at a few crosses!
