And you're telling people to consider player's recent history?! Hello irony. *To add, Olson would be a bloody brilliant piece of business, best centre half in the division the other season at West Brom under Di Matteo. Wouldn't say no to Anichebe (although I swear Everton agreed a long term deal with him earlier this year) either if he could prove his fitness, same with Michael Kightly.

You have to think reasonably instead of being stubborn on the matter. Fact is, the club needs depth - a strong XI and a strong bench - and some of these 'free agents' could help us have that. Hell I'd even contemplate Salgado and Campbell if it meant we had some experience on the training ground and in the dressing room!

Goalkeepers obviously the main area with the likes of Cudicini and Hilario the likely candidates but i'd rather we looked at either Doyle or Gilks. Other realistic options maybe; Eardley, Southern, Gera, Cohen, Kamara, Meyler, Olsson, Barnes. The rest would either sign new contracts or go to better clubs (else are shit) Also does Luke Young play much for Villa and did Sven give him his first cap? Dint know Parnaby was as young as that either. Wouldn't shock me if Hargreaves and Owen turned up next season as well and never played.
