There were probably quite a few people that thought the prank funny and made fun of the nurses that took the call. If the nurse had lived they would still be making jokes about it for months maybe years. These are probably the same people that are having a go at the DJ's now.

If anything it has shown that the procedure for taking calls and giving out information on the phone was at fault whether it is for a Royal or member of the public. Maybe there should be only a limited amount of staff authorised to give out information or at least calls put through to a specialised team.

But does anyone find these prank calls funny anymore? I suppose they must.

I think the idea was to put on a silly voice and try and convince the receptionist that it was the queen, not for them to actually believe them, they were saying silly things about corgis and Phillip was in the background saying silly things.
