ajthefox Posted 27 August 2011 Posted 27 August 2011 Preferably for Everton, as they're in financial difficulty and apparently they need to sell before they can buy, I don't think they would allow us to have him just on loan. If we bid eg. £6m for him, then maybe they would accept it as this gives them the money to fund for his replacement. So no, it probably wouldn't work getting him via loan. If Everton are really as fooked as many have said, why are they not selling? They've had plenty of interest in several players and yet no sales, even though they supposedly need to sell before they can buy. Interesting.
Jaspa Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 And the fact we'd pay a loan fee of 1M upwards, and a large chunk of his wage would disapear for a while. It could again be very attractive for Everton. Think he would be a huge boost to the team, way out of this League; but available? Get him in soon as. + Nicky, and we would tear anyone in this badboy
Jollie Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 Do u think :sge: wants Yakubu back cos there's too many sandwiches left in the bar after the games? Seriously though I'd love him to come back. 11 goals in 20 games is a superb ratio. My only criticism is that he often seems to score goals when things were going well and no when we were playing poorly. I'm open to correction on this point as it's just an impression I was left with at the end of last season.
Hinckleyfox Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 The Yak would be a fantastic addition in my eyes. Just because he doesnt run around like a blue arsed fly doesnt make him a bad player. A lot of strikers play a similar game but dont get as good a goal ratio. A lot of people have said this will not guarentee us promotion. Agree, however would contribute a huge amount towards it. The Yak and Maynard coming in would really put the cat amongst the pigeons and other champ teams will be coming to the KP sh**ting themselves.
Jollie Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 Think Pantsil wants Yak to come back remove the word 'back' from your post an I would be inclined to agree with you
Guest shearfox Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 Think Pantsil wants Yak to come back never seen that before
KingDarius Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 Sven should stop wasting time and money bringing in maynard in now and focus on getting the yak back, dunno about anyone else but the maynard situation is boring the absolute shite outta me, dont even think hes THAT good !
topharry123 Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 I do think he should make this happen Why not? Is 11 goals in 20 games not good enough for you?
Jobyfox Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 Why not? Is 11 goals in 20 games not good enough for you? "I do think he should make this happen" Am I missing a "not" in here somewhere?

Happy Fox Posted 28 August 2011 Author Posted 28 August 2011 BertLcfc LcfcInfoMan Leicester might be renewing their interest in Yakubu in the next few days, nothing more has happens on the Maynard deal #lcfc 6 minutes ago LCFC91 LCFC @ @BertLcfc what sort of deal do we want for Yak. Loan or permo 5 minutes ago in reply to ↑ @BertLcfc LcfcInfoMan @LCFC91 I'd imagine a loan
Happy Fox Posted 28 August 2011 Author Posted 28 August 2011 If we are to get the Yak on loan we need a winger with pace to compliment his style of play, along with another striker we should be sorted

Petchy Posted 29 August 2011 Posted 29 August 2011 Fourth_Official Fourth Official Yakubu looks like he may be back off to Leicester City, wish that saga would just end #LCFC 11 minutes ago Interesting, I would be pretty happy with this.
accessory Posted 29 August 2011 Posted 29 August 2011 I wouldn't. This deal would send out all kinds of negative messages.
Petchy Posted 29 August 2011 Posted 29 August 2011 I really like Yakubu, and from what I understood the only reason Sven hasn't brought him back since the loan is because his wages are so expensive. Maybe we're prepared to pay them now if it guarantees us goals

anotherharboroughfox Posted 29 August 2011 Posted 29 August 2011 or we are desperate? I don't care if we're desperate, I we get Yakubu I'm going to be happy.
accessory Posted 29 August 2011 Posted 29 August 2011 This deal's been on the table for months. It's clear that neither side really want it, but they are being forced into it in the absence of alternative options. I can't see any loan spell being more successful for the club than the previous one.
Jimothy Posted 29 August 2011 Posted 29 August 2011 I wouldn't. This deal would send out all kinds of negative messages. I've always thought signing a proven Premier League goalscorer who scored 11 in 20 last season for us would be sending out the wrong message too. I think we should be spending the £3m on Adam Le Fondre instead. A player who has never played at this level and would be huge risk, and the end result could be us pissing £3m up the wall. Now that would send out a positive message.
Petchy Posted 29 August 2011 Posted 29 August 2011 or we are desperate? Maybe, but if our last resort is considered to be Yakubu then that shows just how much our club has progressed! Last year, when we got Yakubu on loan, people were ecstatic.
