Adster Posted 20 May 2011 Posted 20 May 2011 come on sven, sign someone.....ANYONE. just get someone signed up, im impatient. i like that sharp from donny, he's be a bit of class. He's also future material so splash out a bit perhaps. Alex chamberlain from s'hampton. sign him before he realises everyone else wants him. Kebe from Reading. Best winger in the divison, and even if reading dont go up, reading fans dont think he's got much time left with the royals. Also, according to the mirror article, we can pay him a substantial pay rise.... NICKY MAYNARD grab him quick, and westwood. You do the know the transfer window isn't actually open yet?
LeeTheFox Posted 20 May 2011 Posted 20 May 2011 Sven will make some big signings, i hope! Hopefully it doesnt come back to haunt us

Most leagues have not even finished their season yet.
Brown Fox Posted 20 May 2011 Posted 20 May 2011 You do the know the transfer window isn't actually open yet? I thought it opens when the season finishes? So our transfer window is open but the premiership one isn't yet? That's why Derby are bidding for Waggy and made a few signings already. I may be wrong?

You can bid for who you want, have it accepted and agree terms with a player but the transfer can not be fully completed until the window opens which is on I believe the 1st July.
Zack LCFC PP86 Posted 20 May 2011 Posted 20 May 2011 I would love Shay Given to come to Leicester, great player. Got a few seasons left in him.

Spot on, the league won't ratify the transfer until the window is open, like you said 1st July.
vandamman Posted 20 May 2011 Posted 20 May 2011 Complete pie in the sky but....any chance we could sign Esteban Granero or Sergio Canales on loan from Real Madrid? Now I know this friendly has only been organised for the benefit of leicester getting some attention, nothing else. Perhaps But perhaps Sven could put a word in...currently neither player are getting a look in, plus in recent weeks Madrid have signed both Sahin and Altintop in their positions. Like I say pie in the sky and they would probably go to a much better team if they were sold, however, we have a decent setup (stadium n all) and a great manager and moneyz....

Darkon84 Posted 20 May 2011 Posted 20 May 2011 QPR have had an offer for Dann Grahm turned down. I think hes a player we should be looking at too, really.
h1210 Posted 20 May 2011 Posted 20 May 2011 Joe Murphy has left Scunthorpe today, always thought he was a decent keeper to be fair. I wouldn't say no but are our aspirations higher now? BBC Sport
Sirloin Posted 20 May 2011 Posted 20 May 2011 This is all too sensible, players from Watford and Scunthorpe? Where's this years Bongo Christ? So here's some ludicrous suggestions for dodgy foreigners: Antonio Pedroza from Jaguares de Chiapas (Mexico). 20 year old striker who's got 10 in his first 12 games, including 2 in the Copa de Libertadores. Was born in Chester so wouldn't need a work permit. Nikita Rukavytsya from Hertha Berlin. Aussie winger who's looked pretty decent when I've watched Hertha this year. Samuel Armenteros from Heracles. Young Swedish/Cuban striker who looks like a decent prospect. Heracles have been ace this season, well, the second half of it anyway, might have a couple of players worth looking at.

I've heard about that bloke! The English FA are trying to get him to commit to the England national team instead of Mexico, sounds like a decent prospect.

I've watched most of the Copa de Libertadores this year, and he's looked alright when I've seen him. Lot of decent players in that competition, but an awful lot of shit as well.
Clazie Posted 20 May 2011 Posted 20 May 2011 I've always rated Joe Murphy, poor bloke never had a chance at scunny. They would've conceded a whole lot more without him.

JamesAllen19 Posted 20 May 2011 Posted 20 May 2011 murphy reserve keeper, can't see weale and ricardo being happy on the bench? http://www.scunthorpe-united.co.uk/page/News/0,,10442~2359981,00.html
ousefox Posted 20 May 2011 Posted 20 May 2011 I'd have him too, wouldn't mind Josh Wright either. Seemed very decent at the Walkers, although don't remember seeing much of him in the away game.
