Did it start later?
Matt Posted 7 May 2011 Author Posted 7 May 2011 Why did this season finish so much later? Did it start later? This season didn't finish that much later, theres only a week in it, this season started on the 7th of Auguest as for the reason it finished a week later than it will next year I have no answer. On a side note I did notice when getting the dates from the football leagues website they had the date that the 2012/13 season would start and it is August 18th, anyone know why that is? I guessed it could be something to do with the Olympics?

Fox92 Posted 7 May 2011 Posted 7 May 2011 I love it how Matt always posts posts the countdown clock after the last games of the season

iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 7 May 2011 Posted 7 May 2011 Gonna be a long wait. Not got a season ticket next season either, think i'll enjoy the games I get to more though. Looking forward to the first game. Lets hope we can get some big away games at nice times next season.
Dan Posted 7 May 2011 Posted 7 May 2011 Bored of pre-season already. Anyone got the official dates list? Like, what date all our fixtures are on?

Number 6 Posted 8 May 2011 Posted 8 May 2011 looks to me like it's counting to 4pm, that's 1 hour knocked off the countdown!
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 8 May 2011 Posted 8 May 2011 looks to me like it's counting to 4pm, that's 1 hour knocked off the countdown! Don't they normally start the season on a Friday night. Either way it could be a very interesting off seasons, full of signings, high profile friendlies, us being linked to every man and his dog. Should be fun
Ford Super Sunday Posted 8 May 2011 Posted 8 May 2011 What's that got to do with anything ? It's the Olympics cause that finishes on 12th August 2012. You absolute mongoloid UEFA and FIFA ALWAYS want domestic leagues to finish earlier than usual when there are championship summers on. The Olympics is an extra thing, you pleb. You look at the finish dates of the 01/02, 03/04, 05/06, 07/08, 09/10 seasons compared to 00/01, 02/03, 04/05, 06/07, 08/09, 10/11 and you will see that this is the case.
MikeyT Posted 8 May 2011 Posted 8 May 2011 90 days Just thinking exactly the same thing. The people of the country on a Saturday afternoon will all be lost now.

The season still finishes over a month before whatever date it finishes.
Father Ted Posted 7 June 2011 Posted 7 June 2011 Does anybody know the date of the Carling Cup first round draw?
StanSP Posted 7 June 2011 Posted 7 June 2011 16th June. The day before the league fixtures are announced.
Dan Posted 7 June 2011 Posted 7 June 2011 I meant the dates of our actual games like, all 46 fixtures, to see how many Tuesday games we have etc...
Bert Posted 7 June 2011 Posted 7 June 2011 that seems a bit early, isn't it usually first weekend of May? and with the olympics that would be 16 weeks between the end of next season & the start of the 2012/2013 one. Think it's because of the euros.
