Just seen this from Stringers Twitter:

Alexandar Tunchev told BBC Radio Leicester post-match he's set for talks with #lcfc on Tuesday to see whether he has a future at the club

A 10 year contract seems in order

It would be unfair to let him go, though I'd understand if we did.

Would like to see him get a summer at least to get fit, and if he stays injury free over the summer, give him a year.

When all our loan players go back we only have 3 decent CB's

Bamba

Hobbs

Tunchev

So unless Sven plans to buy 2 CBs (maybe 3, seeing if he doesn't want Hobbs) I think he should have a place in our team next season.

To work himself back into contention after 2 very serious injuries warrants a new contract and a chance to prove himself.

I feel that he will get a year at least.

He'll move permanently to Hull. I'd bet my right nut on it.

That you're willing to put them on the line for this speaks volumes of you!

I think it will be unfair to let him go. We haven't seen him in the Championship but he looked comfortable today, and he was on the right hand side of the defence which isn't his most comfortable position.

I'd give him a year most probably and see how he does next year in the Championship. I'd like him to be picked over Bamba next season, but I'd also like Hobbs to play as well.

I'd give him another year. He'd be useful to have in the squad and we aren't tied down to a long-term deal.

Genuinely think it would be a mistake letting him go. I was really happy when he came on today as it was the first time we would see whether or not he could keep up with the game and he didn't dissapoint! His positioning was great, seemed very comfortable on the ball and steadied our back line (something we've been missing!!!) Something else I noticed too was that he was the only defender Weale directly spoke to, and turned to everytime the left hand side of the defence let Ipswich through. There seemed to be an understanding there whereas with all the loanees, Weale doesn't seem to communicate with them that well?

Oh, and his shot from the corner wasn't bad either. ;)

I never thought I'd say this cos I believed he had no chance of a comeback but I too would offer him a one-year deal of some kind. I still believe he'll struggle to cope with the physical demands of a Championship season but even so ring-rusty he still looked our most competent defender among some pretty poor defenders on both sides.

I don't know who Sven's got in mind to bring in but for sure he's way ahead of what we had out there today. The bloke behind me reckoned it was the worst defence he's seen at City and, while that says a lot, I could understand his disenchantment. We could easily have conceded four or five today.

Give him a one year deal, he could be like our Ledley King :dunno:

Not train 100% every week, not play every game, but he's got the quality to come in and boss the defence.

The man deserves a chance at least. We should repay his hard work with a one year contract.

I think the club repaid his hard work with wages whilst he was on the sick. Let's not get too nostalgic here. He's been well paid and has returned very little. I like him too, and want him to succeed at city, but I'd think it fair if an offer was based largely on appearance/fitness related basis.
