If our medical team decide he's up to the job, if Sven rates him and wants him as a player, if we offer him a contract that Tunchev and his agent thinks is worthy of his talents, then he might sign.

Why would he accept a one year contract or a pay as you play deal unless he didn't think, with his injuries, he could get any better? In which case we don't want him either. If he's fit enough to play he'll want at least 2 years without conditions which I'm sure he'd get somewhere.

As for making him a coach, on what evidence do people assume he'd be a good coach or that he has any ambition to be one?

Agree with the contract part of what you're saying, but he did have an interview where he talked about how his experience can help the loan players out so I think he would be good to have around even if he wasn't playing- think Beckham at the world cup.

Well in that case Sven doesn't want him which is his call. Him and the medical team will decide if he should be kept on or not. Personally I don't think another teams interest will have any effect on his future.

Can't imagine any team offering a contract before him having a trial period.

Will be a similar situation to when Berner joined, proved his fitness and got a contract.

If tunchev has accepted the trial period then i would assume there are no other offers in the pipeline for him

He is quality when fit. Baring in mind i've only seen him against a few League 1 sides and he was cut above the rest.

I'm not saying he's perfect though, he was prone to a few mistakes here and there but nothing costly from memory. The good things outweigh the bad by a mile.

One memorable clanger was against Stevenage in the Cup when him and Hobbs failed to communicate for a ball and nearly gifted Borough a goal.

But that was down to the language barrier.

I really hope we see him back in a City shirt for next season as he'll have a point to prove. Best of luck Tunch

If you've captained Bulgaria and played champions league football with CSKA Sofia, you can't be crap. You can just see the bloke has class as he makes everything look effortless. Giving Tunchev a pre-season to prove his fitness is a sensible decision. We get to keep him if he comes through it unscathed, he probably retires if he breaks down.
