Gradel is fans and players top man

Two of Leicester City's title winning Academy team of yesteryear collected four major end of season awards between them ..with Andy King's Golden Boot and Players Player of the season being virtually matched by Max Gradel at Championship rivals Leeds.

The Ivorian winger was voted Players' Player and Fans' Player of the Year awards at Elland Road.

The 23-year-old scored 18 goals in 44 appearances in his first full season for the Yorkshire club as well as being drafted into the Ivory Coast's senior squad for the first time.

City meanwhile struggled all season to score goals from the right flank - with Vassell managing four as the main conributor. Whether that sort of goalscoring difference would have changed our season's outcome I'm not sure but it does reflect what we could and perhaps should be getting from that department.

I wonder what we'll do with Schlupp!

Who's to say Gradel would have done as well if he had of stayed here? You can't expect a manager to make no mistakes (Pearson in this case obviously).

I'm pleased for the lad. He'll get on with his future and we'll get on with ours. Gradel's in the past, there's no point in reflecting on what could have been in this situation.

I hear Alan Sheehan got relegated Preston North End's inaugural Marco Ferreira Award for being the best "who the frig is this cretin we've signed and did **** all" player at the club as well. Top effort.

****ing hell thraician, enough about gradel - he's been gone for 18 months and, while he's improved greatly over that time period, there's no guarantee he'd be any where near the level he is now. Move on and stop acting so superior over gradel.

If you throw enough shit some will stick and for every gradel theres been a dodds (doing **** all in league 2), a sheehan (hopping from club to club and doing nothing of note) & a porter (where the ****'s he at now?).

It doesn't matter where the goals come from. For years you've been telling us that the only way to get promoted was to get 75 goals in a league season. We got 76 this year and still you moan.

Perhaps you were wrong when you were slating Pearson for his safety-first approach: we came a darn sight closer to promotion under him scoring just over 60 goals than we did in this crazy season scoring 76.

Actually thracian expects us to score 100 goals a season. That's right, 100!

only if the entire team is youth prospects, otherwise 100 isn't enough.

Elsewhere Emile Heskey decided to barge the ref for not giving him a penalty!!!

we should have kept him because it shows his desire to play well!!

Truth be told, we ****ed up with Gradel and I amazed Pearson couldn't see that. I couldn't understand why he was given the cold shoulder, he seemed such a great lad to have in a club, which seems to have been proven by the reaction he's got at Leeds.

It's a shame, because I think Sven would have loved him if he was still here and you can't help thinking he might just end up going on for mega money from Leeds. Did we slap in a sell on clause does anyone know?
