enex Posted 20 May 2011 Posted 20 May 2011 not the best source but off to Hamburg http://www.thesun.co...frey-Bruma.html
MikeyT Posted 20 May 2011 Posted 20 May 2011 Got to be honest and say i'm really, really not fussed if we don't sign him. I thank him for his time here but that's it.
Christoph Posted 20 May 2011 Posted 20 May 2011 One for the future but his wages would have pushed him to first team where I dont think he's ready quite yet. If Bamba goes as well, what with tunchev potentially goign as well and hobbs I do wonder if its goign to be another year of dodgey mix and match centre backs. Really hope we can get Vitor but dont see it happening
bald reynard Posted 20 May 2011 Posted 20 May 2011 Good, Mee was the pick of the centre-backs for me IF he's off to Hamburg, it's VERY good news. Bruma was the most over-hyped (by Sven as much as anyone else) player we've had at this club for years. I was seriously worrying that there was a danger that we'd sign / loan him again. I DO hope Chelsea decide he's worth keeping for their squad - or 'cash-in' and sell him abroad.
Father Ted Posted 20 May 2011 Posted 20 May 2011 YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO IT HAMBURG!!!!
dannythefox Posted 20 May 2011 Posted 20 May 2011 not really bothered about him, get jack hobbs back!
zubi Posted 20 May 2011 Posted 20 May 2011 Suppose I'm the only one who thought he was any good I actually wanted him back
Leicester_Loyal Posted 20 May 2011 Posted 20 May 2011 I wanted him back, hes not as crap as most are making out.
Ozwin Posted 20 May 2011 Posted 20 May 2011 When you have split opinion on a player as much as Bruma does it's clear he's no Cannavaro. See ya Brums.
Legend_in_blue Posted 20 May 2011 Posted 20 May 2011 He's more accomplished at DM and not CB. As a DM he's ok, but at CB, he couldn't handle King or Holt to name just two and there's no doubting playing him there cost us at least 5 points.
broughtonblue Posted 20 May 2011 Posted 20 May 2011 Played a couple of games at centre back, crap. Plays one game in midfield, scores two goals, then next game he's back in defence. Can't work this out?

Plays 9 shit games at centre-back, ruins our season up. Then plays DM, scores 2 goals in a completely meaningless match and then suddenly he has potential according to some of our fans... I could do an Ali Dia and as long as I bummed Sven, I would play!

Bruma, like the majority of the team had an indifferent season whilst playing for us. some great games, some not so. ....i think i just took the bait....
Leicester_Loyal Posted 20 May 2011 Posted 20 May 2011 Wow, Bruma ruined our season? Clearly hes the only player in our team them. He was ok, you don't become a Chelsea youngster by accident, hes got potential. I don't think he'll ever be a world class ever, but he'd be good enough for a mid table championship side.

We only won 2 games while he played and they were nothing games against Watford and Ipswich. Remember his sending off at Middlesborough. He fcuked it up.

Leicester_Loyal Posted 20 May 2011 Posted 20 May 2011 which is exactly what we ended up being. Exactly, and thats all we currently are. I'd take him back here in a heartbeat, hes a decent enough player, especially at DM.

Father Ted Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 Im sorry but to me he was the worst player to put our shirt on since Josh Low.
MGLCFC Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 Absolutely not the worst player since Josh Low. Bruma is going to be a fantastic player. He's only 19 and already he has shown he is a decent footballer. Good technical ability and will only get stronger. I feel the problem is he needs a dominant centre half next to him (Terry at Chelsea, maybe Tunchev at Leicester) as he and Bamba seem to confuse each other. Both play better along side Mee or Vitor.
Haydos Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 Im sorry but to me he was the worst player to put our shirt on since Josh Low. He's 19. He's being playing in a defence which sometimes had an average age of 19 and at the most about 23. He's had a couple of strong games at the back. He's had a couple of strong games in midfield. He's been made scapegoat. (Reading is a perfect example, Bamba was clueless that day yet some still seemed to think Bruma was making the mistakes ) The kid's been called up to the Holland squad. Not to mention he plays for Chelsea and has played Champions League football. He looks perfectly solid next to Vitor. He came into a hugely unsettled defence. (Did I mention he's 19?) If you think he's the worst player we've had since Josh Low then I'm going to either assume you've not seen us play since then or you have fairly long arms.
