Liamlcfc1 Posted 10 July 2011 Posted 10 July 2011 But as far as I'm aware Liam, there's no deal on the table for the Yak? TBH the deal was always open to him but maybe he he as done well in training for Pre season for everton and moyes wants to keep him i asked that to the Fourth_Official and he kind off agreed i dont realy know mate only post the info i get.
crisp monster Posted 10 July 2011 Posted 10 July 2011 I thought he was supposed to be quite good Sorry - I did that wrong (me and technology)
Callabinho Posted 10 July 2011 Posted 10 July 2011 Masilela is awaiting a medical, then he can complete his work permit.
Liamlcfc1 Posted 10 July 2011 Posted 10 July 2011 Fourth_Official Fourth OfficialEverton have taken a £3.5m deal with #LCFC over Yakubu off the table, meaning #LCFC offer a huge take it or leave it deal for Maynard #BCFC
leicesterisme Posted 10 July 2011 Posted 10 July 2011 Oh Bollocks. Really wanted Yakubu, but he's obviously put the work in during pre-season and Moyes has decided to give him another chance.
MikeyT Posted 10 July 2011 Posted 10 July 2011 I still truly believe we will not get Maynard and Yakubu isn't coming either. Where do we turn next?
purpleronnie Posted 10 July 2011 Posted 10 July 2011 Makes missing out on Mackail-Smith even a bigger blow.
Dan Posted 10 July 2011 Posted 10 July 2011 I really do think we're going to end up with Ched Evans. Which would be a huge step down from Maynard/Yakubu/CMS. We should go for Billy Sharp, imagine him and Nugent up front cockiest forward line on earth.
Kent Posted 10 July 2011 Posted 10 July 2011 Makes missing out on Mackail-Smith even a bigger blow. We didn't miss out on him, we retracted/rejected the offer.
purpleronnie Posted 10 July 2011 Posted 10 July 2011 We didn't miss out on him, we retracted/rejected the offer. We shouldn't of.
Kent Posted 10 July 2011 Posted 10 July 2011 We shouldn't of. I'm actually glad we did because it shows that we're not just going to bow down to demands just because we're throwing a few quid about.
One Arm Babba Posted 10 July 2011 Posted 10 July 2011 I think we may well end up signing Evans as a member of the squad but maybe look to the loan market closer to when the season starts for a 1st team striker. Only then will the Prem teams know who they are prepared to loan out etc. I can see us getting someone like Ebanks-Blake, Andy Johnson, Ricardo Fuller etc when they are 4th/5tth choice striker at their respective clubs.
sdb Posted 10 July 2011 Posted 10 July 2011 Starting to think we'll get Maynard, but with a mad offer of £7mill or so.
Lester LXXIV Posted 10 July 2011 Posted 10 July 2011 Fair play Liam, finger was on the pulse my friend!

That's a decent call.
