Bert Posted 10 July 2011 Posted 10 July 2011 I can see a BIIIG bid going in for Maynard. So can I....
Stevosevic Posted 10 July 2011 Posted 10 July 2011 So can I.... In a way i do want him here, but at the same time i dont want to get ripped off and pile the pressure on him because of the price tag.
OLD norfox Posted 10 July 2011 Posted 10 July 2011 Haha you think heskey has a reputation, i love him but lets be honest everyone sees him as a joke NOT me, but I'm not everyone !!
sdb Posted 10 July 2011 Posted 10 July 2011 He's exactly who we need but at £6/7million the pressure and scrutiny on the team and Maynard in particular would be huge. tough call.
escos Posted 10 July 2011 Posted 10 July 2011 Perhaps we could sign him for £7m on a four year deal then sell him back to BCFC for the £15m their deluded fans think he is worth!!
Guest Bilo Posted 10 July 2011 Posted 10 July 2011 Club record bid for Maynard I reckon. Defence has to be pretty much sorted now with Masilela coming closer to being confirmed and the frontline is the last piece of the jigsaw.
Happy Fox Posted 10 July 2011 Posted 10 July 2011 Maynard would be absolutely fantastic signing I am sure he could easily get 25 goals plus here's hoping he signs
MC Prussian Posted 10 July 2011 Posted 10 July 2011 Still got no news on additional wingers, or is Sven going to play with five strikers in a 4-3-3??
Bert Posted 10 July 2011 Posted 10 July 2011 Still got no news on additional wingers, or is Sven going to play with five strikers in a 4-3-3?? Vassell, Gallagher, Moussa...
MC Prussian Posted 10 July 2011 Posted 10 July 2011 Vassell, Gallagher, Moussa... One or two additional wingers won't hurt. Looking at the signings made so far, we've got more than decent coverage and a great depth in squad when it comes to attack, defense and the middle of midfield. EDIT: And what's with Dyer?? Is he leaving or is he not??
General Smuts Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Nugent can play there too. Think thats the point, Nugent and Vassell are both strikers and Gallacher could be argued to be the same. Dyer is the only out and out winger we have capable of starting with Moussa a squad player at best. Whittingham's names been bandied about as has Routledge (rumoured to be off to Swansea) so its not as if Sven's ignoring the area completely. And am i right in saying Masilela can play left wing too?

Doubt dyer will start many (if any) games I think vassell will pretty much always play as a winger, but deffo would love whittingham and/or routledge
artursteppe Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Neil Danns is comfortable playing wide right in a 4-4-2 formation.
drc Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Neil Danns is comfortable playing wide right in a 4-4-2 formation. As I understand it also Schlupp can play as a winger
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Could always see what Josh Low is up to these days .......
