He is on like a 200k a week contract at City and will probably go on loan to an AC Milan type club if anywhere! Where are people getting this 8 million figure from too?? I can't see it anywhere??? Hopefully Maynard deal is close and then maybe one other. Not sure what Bert meant when he said another striker?? As in we in for 2 strikers or a different one to Maynard might be coming?? On 200k a week until the end of the season... that's around the £8m mark... Edit: Pretty much bang on ain't it! :o

He said may be 1 perhaps 2 more when the interviewer pressed him but he didn't sound too convincing with his 'may be may be not' answer! One of the signings will be Hargreaves if he can find him. Certainly didn't sound like an excited manager on the verge of signing an 8.5 million pound striker! After that interview and his article in the mercury that states 'Sven backs City to be a goal threat' I think he is happy with who he has in now so can't see there being a 20 goal a season striker coming in. I think we are going to be very lightweight up front (again) but I guess he is banking on the midfield getting in on the goals and to be fair the latest signings should get a few. Wish he had spent some of the cash on an out and out goal scorer though.
