People seem to be unable to read the article and to look for the meaning behind it

The opening paragraph makes it look likely that there is a chance of him joining us, then it says Sven could get clearance from the owners to line up a cheeky bid

a cheeky bid? that's like me saying if I think about sending Ruth Lorenzo a cheeky Tweet, she'll fly straight over & give me BJ

What are people smoking if they think that even if we do line up a cheeky bid, get together his £200k per week + the add-ons that accompany someone of his stature like image rights etc, that he would even come to Leicester anyway

He went on camera a couple of days ago and stated he will not be returning to the UK or EU in November, he will not be leaving the US, he's happy there & more importantly his family is happy there.

given the fact the article is just bullsh1t filler and the fact that Beckam has said he will not be coming back to UK or EU in Nov

But even of there was a 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000001% of him joining us, do you think that a hundred other clubs starting with Spurs, maybe Arsenal & Milan will be in front of us in the queue, all of them will also be able to make the case that the promotional opportunities will cover the outlay.

Meanwhile we can't even sign Maynard from the mighty, mighty Bristol City... And according to Sven, he hasn't even heard back from the terminally injured, free agent that is Hargreaves or his people despite making contact weeks ago

Still, the fantasy was nice for the duration of the 1st paragraph until it turned into utter BS.

I will of course eat my words and suck off an old donkey if I'm proved wrong, but for now - Less than zero chance and that's according to Becks himself

I watched the MLS vs United the other day and Beckham was by far the best player on the pitch. He rarely gave the ball away, and his passing was simply sublime. How anyone can say they don''t want him here is beyond me. His game was never about his pace it was about his ability to hit any spot on the field with the ball from anywhere. He may be older now but he can still do what he did and the only reason people are saying that he's past it is because he plays in LA and they don't seem him play week in week out. I for one would be delighted if he were to come here only for a little bit. He's the kind of player anyone needs.

Good post it makes sense. The only reason I would disagree is that if he wanted to go into management then he might want to learn under someone like Sven who he obviously has a lot of respect for. Slim chances yes, but if by Xmas we're top and looking at 1st or 2nd spot, then the lure of premier league football and learning from one of the best managers in the game might be tempting enough for him to come here.

Where is this rumour coming from that were going to get him on a 200k a week deal? I no its a load of bullshit but i've seen it on facebook by like 3 people and generally wondering where it started off :S

There is absolutely zero incentive for Beckham to come to leicester. He doesn't need the money, he lives in LA, why come to leicester for the winter? He has nothing really to prove as he is already the most famous footballer in the world. The point of brining Beckham in would be the raise Leicesters profile in Asia and abroad, gain money from merchandise and the psychological boost the team and the club more then anything. He will never come.

Anyone seriously thinking this could happen should be spat on

Publicity stunt, nothing more.

I have read that we are willing to him £200,000 a week to come here for 6 weeks. This is ridiculous.

There are children dying in the famine-ridden deserts of Africa and we'd say yes to paying all that for one player for 6 weeks??

Would probably work out profitable in the long run with the increased revenue as a result. Not that I think it will happen.

You'll be donating your match day ticket/season ticket money to Africa will you then?

From our point of view it would mean a large increase in gate receipts and shirt sales, along with a player that can make a huge difference to us. Also I guarantee that Beckham and the club give more money to charity each year than you have earned in your lifetime. Every dollar Beckham gives to charity in the states he saved $0.35 on tax and from what i've heard he is extremely geneours when it comes to that.

You are missing my point, so try not to be unnecessarily rude and sarcastic. Thank you.

I actually help to sponsor a child in Africa. There you go. Think before you speak.

For goodness sake, no, not accusing anyone. This may sound hypocritical, but don't be so sensitive. I am calling footballers bad people in terms of wage requirements. For that reason alone, I don't want this transfer to happen.

Not one person can justify the amount of money he'd be paid a week. It's greedy and unethical.
