They looked quite comfy with 3-4 games left, but things remained extremely tight in the lower half of the table. Pretty decent achievement nonetheless their financial situation taken into consideration.

La Liga, much like the SPL, is pretty much always a 2 horse race - La Liga between Barcelona & Real Madrid, SPL between Rangers & Celtic.

Valencia and Athletico Madrid have won the title in the last 15 years, can't be said for Hibs or Hearts. In fact there have been 5 different winners of La Liga since the PL was formed. In comparison the PL has 4 and the SPL 2!
FrankieADZ Posted 14 July 2011 Posted 14 July 2011 i wouldnt compared La Liga to the SPL. LA Liga has alot of talented players in it, while the SPL is well...League 1 standard at best imo. it wasnt too long ago that Valencia won the league if Im correct.
