lcfcadam Posted 18 July 2011 Posted 18 July 2011 Yeah. Probably not best solved by 2/3 of a bottle of wine, 3/4 of a bottle of whiskey and several large bottles of beer - from prior experience anyway...
sdb Posted 18 July 2011 Posted 18 July 2011 All it takes, in my experience, is 2-3 years. She's probably a bitch anyway.
ACF Posted 18 July 2011 Posted 18 July 2011 Had a nasty one earlier this year, not clean at all, lots of loose ends I had to tie up. Now I'm a pimp.
Lovejoy Posted 18 July 2011 Posted 18 July 2011 Breakups do indeed suck mate. I left my girlfriend recently, still feel really crap about the whole thing. I think the hardest thing was that I still loved her, but we weren't right for each other. The best thing for me has been keeping busy with work, and spending a lot of time with friends and family. Bit of a cliché, but it does at least help keep your mind fairly occupied.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 18 July 2011 Posted 18 July 2011 Oh god the worst things ever... Unfortunately, I believe that time is the best healer
J.Lisemore Posted 18 July 2011 Posted 18 July 2011 I found that further along the line, they were never worth it anyway... just try keep your head up.
Soar Fox Posted 18 July 2011 Posted 18 July 2011 Go in town get drunk and kop off with a horrendous looking girl. Then you can at least have a laugh with your mates the next day.
The People's Hero Posted 18 July 2011 Posted 18 July 2011 Go in town get drunk and kop off with a horrendous looking girl. Then you can at least have a laugh with your mates the next day. Top advice.
The People's Hero Posted 18 July 2011 Posted 18 July 2011 Shag her/ his mate. ALWAYS the best thing to do. Throw in a cheeky cousin for good measure too. Jus' sayin'.

Mee Posted 18 July 2011 Posted 18 July 2011 It's the time when you realise how much your mates mean to you. Hope your ok bud.
FoxyPV Posted 18 July 2011 Posted 18 July 2011 Throw in a cheeky cousin for good measure too. Jus' sayin'. Or mother/ father
Tom17LCFC Posted 18 July 2011 Posted 18 July 2011 Chin up matey. I know it probably won't feel like it right now, but you'll realise in due course that she wasn't worth the hassle. Always helps to know that there's always someone somewhere in the exact same situation. Will make you stronger for the future as well. Look at it as new beginnings!
MikeyT Posted 18 July 2011 Posted 18 July 2011 Think most of us have been where you are mate. I had a tough break up a few years ago too and at the time you think nothing will make you get over it. The cliche that time is a healer is not just a cliche, it's in fact true, at least in my situation it is. Taken me a hell of a long time to get over things but it really does get easier as time goes on. You'll be ok in the end. Trust me.
Houdini Logic Posted 18 July 2011 Posted 18 July 2011 Get out at the weekend and get talking to some ladies. Until then have a snoop around and get chatting on www.plentyoffish.com - it's amazing how even the most basic of conversations with a girl can soon change your opinion on things...
LestaFox92 Posted 19 July 2011 Posted 19 July 2011 Chin up preferbly a beer to weigh it back down also dnt let her tek the piss outta you!
The Doctor Posted 19 July 2011 Posted 19 July 2011 steve_walsh, PV & TPH have offered the correct advice here, get drunk and rangle a one night stand with one of her friends or a close relative (e.g. sister).
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 19 July 2011 Posted 19 July 2011 The unpredictablity of single life is much better any way Something i've learnt is these words are very true
FoxyPV Posted 19 July 2011 Posted 19 July 2011 Now THAT explains a lot. I'm never breaking up with Ms Foxy because her mum has beaten repeatedly and quite viciously with the ugly stick. Thank **** her da was so good looking, and unless I suddenly get into necrophilia he's safe.
Daggers Posted 19 July 2011 Posted 19 July 2011 Breakups suck dont they. Could be worse. You could be 20 years down the line and realise she's a miserable cvnt that you never loved.
Dr The Singh Posted 19 July 2011 Posted 19 July 2011 Could be worse. You could be 20 years down the line and realise she's a miserable cvnt that you never loved. Yeah, that's why daggers left her for me, he has never been happier!!!
