  1. 1. Should City bid for Shane Long?

    • Yes but no more than £6m
    • Yes but no more than £4m
    • Yes cash and player exchange
    • Only if we fail to land Nicky Maynard
    • Only if another Championship side makes a bid
    • No not a chance

Sledgehammer to crack a nut.

The Reading lot have been reasonable, more than reasonable in fact under the circumstances, and we have several regular posters who support other clubs without whom this forum would be poorer.

The Bristol City mouthbreathers are annoying, but we can just tell them to fuck off, which they probably will do if/when we sign Long instead of Maynard.

The club would be allowed to make the revenue, there's no problem with that.

What they would do is exclude that particular revenue (or the portion deemed to be above fair value) from the break-even calculation on which FFP is based.

As i understand it and i may be wrong.

If a contract is drawn up ie shirts 2m ground 10m training ground 1m a yr over 5 years over a period say 5 yrs then thats fine.

But kp can't say nxt year oh here is 40m for the ground this year just cause they want to buy an extra 30m of players.

anything thats contracted for whatever period is ok. It's further injections of cash that don't count.

but am praps wrong :crylaugh: :crylaugh: :crylaugh:

But there will always be new ways of bringing more revenue into the business whether it be by placing sponsored adverts in the match day programme, to painting King Power on the floor of the concourse for a fee, so long as the club have the contracts set up on differing timelines then they will be able to manage their revenue streams in line with the regulations as these contracts will constantly be up for renewal and open to higher offers every couple of years.

They can tattoo KP on my arse for a fee if it helps the club. :crylaugh:

I take it we also have to go completely off subject within those 100 pages and have squabbles with rival supporters?

I think you are being unreasonable. Are you? I think this requires discussion.

Come on, take one for the team! Just make sure Top coughs up the cash for Shane Long in return. Look at it this way, it's not like he's asking you to have the Forest badge tattooed on your ball bag, lol

Don't forget that arguments about racism!

I can't believe you brought up the fact that Shane is Irish. It's a disgrace you should be ashamed! Are you? If not please explain why immediately.

Sven wants him.

I dont though :( Plenty of better PROVEN options... Take away his penalties its only 14 goals last season :(

Is that the attitude of a winner? NO! Charlie Sheen would laugh in your general direction.
