Brooksy Posted 9 September 2011 Posted 9 September 2011 Do our ticket office allow refunds for away tickets?
lcfc_amie Posted 9 September 2011 Posted 9 September 2011 Do our ticket office allow refunds for away tickets? They do, but it has to be done before the day of the match. So I don't think you'd get a refund for Barnsley tickets now
SemperEadem Posted 9 September 2011 Posted 9 September 2011 Would have thought it would be the same prices.
The Doctor Posted 9 September 2011 Posted 9 September 2011 Would have thought it would be the same prices. Some clubs charge slightly higher on the day - for instance us.
anotherharboroughfox Posted 9 September 2011 Posted 9 September 2011 away games are loyal fans.....the hardcore... like going to Newcastle on a Wednesday night.... driving home...getting back at 2 in the morning then up at 6 for work... its the choice of everyone.....if they go or not....... all i know is come sat 4.45pm at Oakwell ill be supporting them win or lose Oh My. You are no better fan than any other Leicester fan. Just because you're 'loyal' enough to go away games whatever the cost, doesn't make you a 'hardcore' fan. Quite frankly as others have said, it makes you a bit of a mug.
stuartn27 Posted 10 September 2011 Posted 10 September 2011 mug? dont think so.... like i said it my choice.... if you went and bought a new pair of jeans for £100..... would i call you a mug? nope i dont judge people its about choice....... maybe you need 2 lighten up....MUG
Libertine Dream Posted 10 September 2011 Posted 10 September 2011 Just because you pay 30quid to go Barnsley doesnt mean your a hardcore fan. Personally Im saving the thirty quid and using it to go to more games over the course of the season. MORE GAMES
Petchy Posted 10 September 2011 Posted 10 September 2011 Some people are missing the issue here though, it's not about not going to the away matches and spending money to see your team that's the problem. It's the fact that Barnsley are trying to milk us for more money than ever before by moving us into the 'high profile fixture' tier. If you just let them get away with it by accepting this, then they won't see it as a problem and will continue to charge us a ridiculous amount for an away trip to a average team. I wouldn't go as far as to call those going 'mugs', but I would say that you should at least be able to take on board other points of view regarding this situation. It doesn't make you a better 'fan' just because you give into the demands of a greedy club.
anotherharboroughfox Posted 10 September 2011 Posted 10 September 2011 mug? dont think so.... like i said it my choice.... if you went and bought a new pair of jeans for £100..... would i call you a mug? nope i dont judge people its about choice....... maybe you need 2 lighten up....MUG Why on earth anyone would spend a £100 on a pair of jeans is beyond me and if someone did imo they are a massive mug. but that's completely off topic. The fact is that as long as you are happy to pay whatever price to watch your team, nothing will ever change and prices will keep going up. And you say you don't judge people, but you said those who go away games are the 'loyal' fans, just because people don't want to fork out a some cash for a ridiculously over-priced game doesn't make them any less loyal than you.
Xen Posted 10 September 2011 Posted 10 September 2011 would i call you a mug? nope [...] you need 2 lighten up....MUG
stuartn27 Posted 10 September 2011 Posted 10 September 2011 re read what i said its choice.......... did i say i was better? NO.... i said i prefer to go away games... simple.... all becoming rather boring
anotherharboroughfox Posted 10 September 2011 Posted 10 September 2011 re read what i said its choice.......... did i say i was better? NO.... i said i prefer to go away games... simple.... all becoming rather boring You said away games are loyal fans.....the hardcore... implying if you didn't go to away games you aren't loyal...
stuartn27 Posted 10 September 2011 Posted 10 September 2011 getting bored now.... let it rest...... cheers
Guest MattP Posted 11 September 2011 Posted 11 September 2011 Was if worth the 30 quid then? Hope our poor show hit Barnsley in the pocket
jonthefox Posted 11 September 2011 Posted 11 September 2011 Was if worth the 30 quid then? Hope our poor show hit Barnsley in the pocket Mate no offence, but were you there yesterday?. That was not a poor show.
Karljohn Posted 11 September 2011 Posted 11 September 2011 Wasn't there yesterday, but not even a crowd of 11000 suggests that Barnsley are doing their best to shaft their own supporters let alone the away fans.
