I am an advocate of 4-3-3, but not on this occassion. I want a 4-4-2 Diamond.

Kasper

Peltier/ Pantsill

Mills

Bamba

Konchesky

Wellens

Danns

Gallagher

King/ Fernandes

Nugent

Waghorn / Schlupp

I don't think this is very good. Fernandes as an attacking midfielder? Why? Are you playing Gallagher in central midfield or is Danns out wide? One of them's also out of position.

Apart from where you've put them, I do agree with most of your selection. I'd just start with Dyer instead of Waghorn/Schlupp as part of a front 3 with Nugent and Gallagher.

I doubt Waghorn will start, but I'm starting to think that maybe it's not such a bad idea. Either he plays well, and gets some confidence back, or he plays badly, and people stop banging on about how "he hasn't been given a chance to prove himself".

I personally would always have big steve on the bench as he give us a different option than the other forwards. Won't happen I'm sure.

I'd definitely pick a 4-2-3-1 to go with tonight.

Kasper

Pantsil Mills Bamba Konchesky

Wellens Fernandez

Danns King Gallagher

Nugent.

Kasper

St Ledger - Mills - Big Sol - Konchesky

Gallagher - King - Wellens - Fernandes - Danns

Nugent.

Playing one up top at home is too negative for me and i'd prefer two up there but i can't see sven changing his system. Also don't think St ledger will start but I'd like to see him being gave a run out wasn't impressed at all by Paintsil at the weekend.

I'd like to see a diamond formation in midfield to be honest so it will be:

Kasper

Peltier(I'f fit) mills bamba konchesky

Abe

Wellens. Danns

Gally/dyer

Nugent and schlupp? Maybe gally and have dyer behind them in the diamond

In the context of what's happened so far this season tonight is looking like a very important match. If we win then get something on saturday against the Red Scum then the Reading game looks like a blip. Alternatively, lose tonight and it could be the start of a slippery slope, confidence starts to go and we're in a right mess.

Read an earlier post when someone said "in my 2 and a half years as a season ticket holder" as if that makes them some sort of expert. Well I saw my first game in 1966, so in my 45 years I recogines that you can' sign nearly a dozen players but, that doesn't make a team. There's going to be some ups and downs over the next cople of months but, we've got to find a way to stay in touch with the top half a dozen. We need to make the KPS a fortress because, that's the only way to get promoted.

Fundamentally we have to trust Sven, lets face it we won't get anyone better. When you look at the players we've signed it's all there apart from a quality striker but, every team in all 4 divisions is looking for that magic ingredient a striker who can score 25+ goals a season. Again, trust Sven he's clearly trying hard and there's still plenty of time, most loan deals for "big" players are done towards the end of the window. I'd prefer a straight purchase but, if all else fails a quality loanee like Santa Cruz would be fine.

I think that the point being made is that in that time, though players have changed, our attitudes and the way we play hasn't.

Apart from a fairly 'gung ho' period fron the loanees earlier this year we have been pretty dour, disjointed and generally lacking in aggressive intent.

It is worth pointing out that in all that time the only winger to figure in more than a handful of games is Dyer, and he can't get a look in at the moment.....:dunno:

Fourth Official @Fourth_Official

Paul Gallagher starts upfront for Leicester tonight #lcfc

If this is true, i'm guessing he'll be in a front 3 rather than a front 2. I hope that is the case anyway.

Good, let's not forget that he is a striker by trade. Hopefully more attacking tonight as a 4-4-2 not 4-5-1

If 4-3-3

Not having left and right backs that can get forward well enough will result in this becoming a 4-5-1 as the to wingers/wide strikers fall back to compensate...

Agree with this, though personally would have Wellens on instead of Danns. Wellens and King have played together alot more and dare say know each other better.

Come on Citeh, back to winning ways please :scarf:

*Edit* and isnt Peltier still injured?

Yeah i'd go with that Wellens and King, not a massive fan of wellens but hey... Not a massive fan of Dyer either but if we are going to play 4-3-3 then who else do we have?! Playing Danns on the wing is ridiculous.

Peltier is having a fitness test this afternoon so he may well be ok to start

Id play Danns / King / Wellens / Fernandes in midfield and try Gally and Nugent up front or try Dyer instead of Danns to start with and then bring Danns on in mid when we have the game sewn up (probably at 2-0 down  )
