True, however when you look at the three promoted teams from last season they all played 442 and attacked. My issue is that Sven's 433 is really a 451 (as u say) I think that's a formation to play when u get to the Prem and u want to stay in it - you have to go for it and be positive in the Champ + I honestly dont think the current crop are comfortable playing 433.

No they didn't

QPR - 4-2-3-1

Norwich - 4-1-2-1-2

Swansea - 4-3-3

We haven't got the wide players to play 4-4-2

I still reckon that 4-3-3 could be a good formation if it was actually played properly. With City it just seems to always turn into a 4-5-1 which is deeply depressing...

I agree, it's just strange to play it when you have spent the whole summer signing players not for those positions.

So move him to the flank saving Dyer as an impact sub and play

Kermorgant

to lead the line.

No, seriously......

Honestly don't think suggesting Kermorgant lead the line is such a terrible suggestion, to be honest. Far more dominant in the air than Nugent and more than adequate at holding the ball up. I'd sooner see him than Waghorn at the minute, given his current form.

Nugent looks quite decent with the ball at his feet and by all accounts played on the wing fairly frequently for Pompey last season, I think a front three of Gallagher, Kermorgant and Nugent, with Yann the central striker, could pay dividends with two running off him. I doubt he'll even make the bench though.

I actually agree with the Kermogant comments. He's the one striker we have that can hold the ball up, win it in the air and play it to feet. I think Nugent is fantastic and is improving week by week, but we need a bit more presence up top if our players are so keen to revert to a 4-5-1. With that in mind, I'd play...

We pretty much had two sitting on Saturday in the first half and it didn't help him a jot.

Well if the management tell the players to offer themselves maybe Mills wouldn't go long all the time which looses us the ball constantly.

This , apart from Nugent up top, King in AM and chuck in wellens/Abe .....Schlupp is not ready yet, playing him when he isnt, is just gunna ruin the talent

As long as Dyer plays or is at least on the bench. We all know he's inconsistent but against poorer, slower sides he can make a real impact - and more of an impact than Fernandes, Wellens and Abe made against Reading in a 3-man midfield. I was surprised not to see him on the bench at the week-end tbh.

Sven told BBC Radio Leicester today that Moreno and Yann Kermorgant are looking for new clubs with no future at #lcfc. No great surprise

Don't think he'll give Schlupp another shot just yet, but I think King and Gallagher coming back into the side is inevitable. Hopefully Sven will realise there is little need for two defensive midfielders at home against a side who have got off to a struggle. But Nugent needs some help badly, unless the midfielders are really going to step up to the plate on Wednesday.

Never thought I'd say this, but I'd play Dyer at this moment in time.

That's my radical 'big idea' blown out of the water.....

Did not realistically expect Yanni to get a look in, though I can't help feeling that he is the best option we have if we are going to play with just one up.

I expect Sven to play the side that started on saturday, probably with Gallagher instead of Schlupp. However, conservative though he undoubtably is, Sven does occassionally do something unexpected, so I would not rule out something pretty radical.

In fact, to put it simply, I haven't the faintest idea what team Sven will put out........:dunno:

well it will be a great loss, but at least their transfer fees will more than cover the cost of matt mills rendering his signing a total bargain.

To be honest lads you could turn up with just a goalkeeper and a defender (to man-mark Maynard ;) ) and still win. To quote 'dodgeball' our back four is about as useful as a cock flavoured lollipop.

We can only hope, because our front-line is weaker than a starved African at the moment.
