Peltier-----Mills-----Bamba-----Konchesky

Fernandes

King-----Danns

Gallagher-----Nugent-----Dyer

Wellens benched, Dyer bought into the fold. If we're going 4-3-3 we should at least play proper bastard wingers.

Even though peltier isnt fit yet

Sorry are you a coach at the club or something? No.

Peltier (if fit) -- Mills -- Bamba -- Konchesky

Fernandes -- Wellens

Dyer -- Danns -- Gallagher (no other option sadly)

Nugent

___________

With two sitting, Mills can pass easy instead of giving the ball away when going long.

Danns in a more natural position behind the striker.

I'd love two up top, but theres no other good option to convince me.

We pretty much had two sitting on Saturday in the first half and it didn't help him a jot.

This team, but with King in for Danns.

I'd go with a diamond in midifield and have Fernandes at the base with Kingy or Wellens at the tip. Gally and Nugent as an orthodox front 2 with Danns and Dyer given an opportunity on the wings.

If / when we sign a winger or two i'd put Danns at the tip behind the front two as IMHO that's his best position and prob where Svennis bought him to play.

The more u look at it the more you realise we have a lot of square pegs in our squad.

Decent call, though I will point out (politely....;)) that Peltier might not be fit. Definite starter if he is though.

Nit picker that I am I would line up King alongside Fernandez for extra security and Give Danns complete freedom to do his thing as playmaker.

Another decent call, just replace Wellens with King....

I'll throw a totally 'out of the box' suggestion into the mix for you all to have a giggle at.

In these setups the lone front man needs to be able to hold the ball up and bring others into the game, not really Nugent's strength.

So move him to the flank saving Dyer as an impact sub and play

Kermorgant

to lead the line.

No, seriously......

For 20 minutes after half time we were all over Reading, King made a big impact so he should come in for Abe. I would swap Gally for Danns also and see how we go with that.

I would give Johnson a run after the performances from the centre midfielders against reading, when he regains fitness he could potentially be our best midfielder IMO.

Enough with the 4-3-3's I hate that fricking formation!

I still reckon that 4-3-3 could be a good formation if it was actually played properly. With City it just seems to always turn into a 4-5-1 which is deeply depressing...

True, however when you look at the three promoted teams from last season they all played 442 and attacked. My issue is that Sven's 433 is really a 451 (as u say) I think that's a formation to play when u get to the Prem and u want to stay in it - you have to go for it and be positive in the Champ + I honestly dont think the current crop are comfortable playing 433.

Given the state that Bristol City seem to be in defensively we should probably go for a 0-0-10 to start with on wednesday night...

My score prediction? 0-0

This side plays at a slow tempo, and we allow too much space to the opposition and don't close down quick enough!! We desperately need some pace on the wings and decent crossing!!
