Nothing to do with that really...why would I care if people disagree with me? That happens all the time and I have no problem with it at all. When people are claiming a referee is incompetent with absolutely no basis then that is what makes them an idiot.

So sending someone off for tapping a player on the back of the head and then apparently 'kicking him in the head' when there is sufficient evidence to prove otherwise isn't shoddy refereeing? Is that hard to understand? Has it? Radio Leicester didn't seem to know what had happened. Sky called it wrong at first then later only described it as 'violent conduct'. The forum is filled with other people who haven't seen it. I don't think I care any more.

You've just said it was reported (I've always been talking about during the game just for the record) to be 'a joke' by various forms of media. I've just given you several examples which contradict your argument and make it seem like you just made that up. Basically I don't see how I nothing about this Feel free to show me reports that describe it as a joke. Even if that is the case, my simple point still stands: people shouldn't make sweeping judgements based on nothing.

There was once a time where there was very little of this petty squabbling,just a good place to come and debate about our team. The balance has severly tipped in the wrong direction over the past two years unfortunately. Seems almost every thread ends in needless arguments nowadays!
shade Posted 4 February 2012 Posted 4 February 2012 I smell bullshit. if a ref is taking bungs, he's doing a SHIT job at hiding it judging by the way you're all talking about it. their fixing of the game would need to be even more incompetent than some of our players performances! some refs suck badly, and make some shocking decisions, shock horror, so do a lot of our players. theyre human. get over it.
Mack Posted 5 February 2012 Posted 5 February 2012 Nothing would surprise me, and it certainly goes on overseas in many a league. However I would be more inclined to put it down to incompetence. So many ex footballers moan about standards of refereeing and that a referee cant understand the game properly because they haven't played it... But where are the ex footballers that are willing to become referees? It's easy to point the finger but much much harder to get involved and make a positive impact rather than negative comment.
