Head Honcho Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 Was signed for 4 million last year, scored 19 goals in 27 appearences and 3 in 9 this season for Rangers. Seriously Sven, please get it done. An impressive record but he'll find it tougher in the championship and he does miss more than his fair share of sitters. £6.5 million is a little too much imo. Even if we sign him I doubt we'd play a system suited to his style of play.

Doesn't mean he's on a par with Boyd and Miller though! £6.5 million is a little steep, but there's no doubt in my mind that he'd do the business here. Rangers will be trying to squeeze us for every penny, though. I'd sooner have Maynard but if Jelavic is the alternative, for a reasonable price, I'll not be complaining.
