funkyrobot Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 Well, it's alright, Nigel. Cheers mr megson. Btw I was responding to Babylon (Sven) not you Gary
adam95581 Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 Glad you said that "any decent striker should score" are people on here finally admiting that Waggy is a decent striker? I've always been a fan of Waggy and thought he deserved more of a chance playing 442. By admitting that 'any decent striker should score' i thought it would stop people from seeing my post as an 'i told you so' and more of an update. Clearly not.
Fox92 Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 He's only gone out on loan, it's not like we've sold him If only.
Guest Col city fan Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 I think Waghorn's failure to show the form he did on loan since he signed is for a number of reasons. Pearson played a different system that suited Waghorn more. He's been played wide most of the time. Sven maybe does'nt fancy Waggy as a player the same way Pearson did. We could go on and on but the facts are that some players dont suit some Manager's systems or styles and I think this is the case with Waghorn and Sven. He will probably go on to do well back in a system under Pearson that worked well for him before. I hope he does and we get a decent fee for him in January because a fresh start for him looks best for all involved. Agree entirely... Certain players gel with certain managers... Whether it be personality similarities, styles of play, etc etc The reason why I think west ham will win the league this year IMO is obviously due to money spent, but as importantly because 'Big Sam' has surrounded himself with a certain type of player.. Essentially big ard nuts who can associate with him as manager and who can play a certain kind of way. Nolan being the case in point. If Waggy and Sven don't gave this kind of manager-employee rship it's time for the latter to go Waggy, I think, will do ok at hull bur won't set the world alight. That's cos he's basically an average striker and, although he'll feel more settled under NP, he ain't good enough to score Hull lots of goals. Anyway time will tell
MC Prussian Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 Cheers mr megson. Btw I was responding to Babylon (Sven) not you Gary I know, Nigel. Btw, my name's not Gary.

Fmfox Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 http://www.hullcityafc.net/page/NewsDetail/0,,10338~2442920,00.html? Scoring twice and getting two goals was great." Hehe classic quote there
dannythefox Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 He will score a few now he has his confidence back hope he does well but not against us
Uncle Monty Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 Hehe classic quote there I was going to reply the same part. Quite moronic really, although I do like Waggy!
MC Prussian Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 He will score a few now he has his confidence back hope he does well but not against us Won't happen. Waghorn's not allowed to play against his parent team.
LanguedocFox Posted 7 September 2011 Posted 7 September 2011 I think this is interesting, on Pravda today: http://www.lcfc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10274~2443512,00.html today Andy King, Gelson Fernandes, Yuki Abe - even on-loan Elliott Chamberlain - all get mentions, but not Waghorn, despite his two goals. Is he an "unperson" all of a sudden?
Lambert09 Posted 8 September 2011 Posted 8 September 2011 I go to Hull uni so will use this as a chance to go watch waggs and keep people informed on how he is getting on. We see the players on a lot of nights out and one player even came to watch my team play footy once so I have high hopes of meeting him and trying to get some information out , although his answers would be pretty obvious
MattyR Posted 8 September 2011 Posted 8 September 2011 I think this is interesting, on Pravda today: http://www.lcfc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10274~2443512,00.html today Andy King, Gelson Fernandes, Yuki Abe - even on-loan Elliott Chamberlain - all get mentions, but not Waghorn, despite his two goals. Is he an "unperson" all of a sudden? They mentioned his goals in previous articles!
Houdini Logic Posted 12 September 2011 Posted 12 September 2011 ''This week, they cancelled Slovenian striker Leon Crncic's contract by mutual consent, they have also told fellow forward Martyn Waghorn he has no future with the Foxes, while Dany N'Guessan has headed for Millwall.'' http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/14723656.stm Have I missed something?
