Guest Col city fan Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 No idea what spit diouf is like as a player anymore but I don't give a fook. There's a principle at stake here and he crosses the line...
dannythefox Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 We don't want anything to do with Diouf he's an idiot!
Guest Col city fan Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 Shame he's not coming. I think a complete arsehole is what the team have been missing. For all his heroics and legendary status, when all is said and done Steve Walsh was an absolute piece of shit. Sometimes a player like that can not only light a firework up the arse of his teammates but can get the crowd going too (and god knows our crowd needs it!!). His actions in some circumstances are not excusable but a part of me would quite like to see him go over to take a corner in front of the away fans, have some snotty nosed, burberry clad, football factory wannabe call him black bastard or something equally un-inventive and then watch old El-Hadji gob in his face and start a 20 man brawl. We're regarded as too much of a soft touch and a complete **** like Diouf would change that perception immediately. For fooks sake are you really equating Walshy with Diouf? I've heard it all

Toffee_Fox Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 Theres a difference to having a wind up merchant on your side who can get other teams annoyed and do a job, to having a complete and utter disgrace of a human being.
bettso Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 For fooks sake are you really equating Walshy with Diouf? I've heard it all Just as the type of character. Walsh had affairs with his teammates wives and also slapped his ex wife around but he's still a legend in our eyes. If Diouf signed for us and bagged a hat trick against Forest, everyone would be sucking him off regardless of how many 9 year olds he spits at.
bettso Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 Hardly any successful team has an "arsehole" like Diouf in their ranks. Tits like him have no place in football, because they only pretend to possess anything remotely close to talent. People like Totti at Roma are icons not just because they like winding up opposing players, but mainly because they're also equally gifted footballers and because they take pride in wearing their club's shirt. None of these points apply to the Human Lama. Totti is also a well known facist/racist which is why he's never moved from Roma. Plenty of teams have had arsehole's (why the inverted comma? Are you suggesting that he's not an arsehole?). Cantona flying kicked a fan, entire Leeds team in the 70's, John Terry at Chelsea. For people to fear you they need something to fear and with all due respect to the current players, they're just not nasty enough.

I can only assume you're confusing Totti with Di Canio, because Totti is far from being fascist, on the contrary: "Totti had said that he wouldn't sit at the same table and have dinner with me. I said that was no great loss, because if you tell Totti that there are tensions in the Middle East, he'll think that a fight has broken our on the right side of midfield." (Di Canio on Totti) And you sure you mean John Terry and not his older brother Paul? Why do other teams have to fear us for Lamas in football shirts? I thought the football does all the talking.

IF he were to sign and score a hat-trick against forest then I'd be pleased to beat the trees, but I'd still have less than no respect for this willy puller and would want him out of my club as soon as possible.
@mrtonycox Posted 7 September 2011 Posted 7 September 2011 Not watched his history, what are the reasons that have brought so much hatred against him..??
danny. Posted 7 September 2011 Posted 7 September 2011 Not watched his history, what are the reasons that have brought so much hatred against him..?? I don't know much either but he spit at an 11 year old fan and also when Jamie Mackie broke his leg apparently he went over and started giving him a load of abuse as he lay there - sure someone else can enlighten more on his character though

I'd also like to add that The Human Lama has never scored a hattrick in professional football and, at age 30, is highly unlikely to come up with that feat anytime soon.
@mrtonycox Posted 7 September 2011 Posted 7 September 2011 To be honest if he can score goals and he's free then it's not a bad option..?? Walshy was a slime ball, he made a pass at my mrs years ago also.. The previous comments are right, people think he's a legend.
Houdini Logic Posted 7 September 2011 Posted 7 September 2011 In France Diouf's professional career has at times been overshadowed by controversy. During his time at Sochaux, he was involved in a succession of minor transgressions. This resulted in the move to Rennes, where he was convicted for driving without a licence, and was involved in a car crash. Taking into account his age and evident remorse, the French courts sentenced Diouf to community service.[21] In England During the start of his early Premier League career, Diouf has been involved in several incidents where he has spat, or has allegedly spat, at fans and opposition players. In 2002 he was accused of spitting at West Ham fans whilst warming-up at a substitute for Liverpool during a game at Anfield. After investigation by Merseyside Police there was no evidence that an offence had been committed, but that Diouf had spat on the ground.[22] On 13 March 2003, whilst playing for Liverpool, he was involved in an incident when he spat at Celtic fans during a televised UEFA Cup quarter-final. His club fined him two weeks' wages,[23] UEFA gave him a two-match ban,[24] and Diouf was charged with assault.[25] Although Diouf initially pled not guilty,[26] he later changed his plea to guilty, and was fined £5,000.[27] Whilst he was on loan at Bolton, Diouf was charged by the police for spitting at an 11-year-old Middlesbrough fan during a 1–1 draw in November 2004.[28] Then, on 27 November 2004, Diouf spat in the face of Portsmouth player Arjan de Zeeuw.[29] He was fined two weeks' wages by Bolton and was banned for three games by the FA after pleading guilty to a charge of improper conduct.[30] Bolton manager Sam Allardyce later revealed that he considered sending Diouf to see a sports psychologist.[31] On 20 September 2009, Diouf was questioned by police after allegations that he had made a racial slur to a ball-boy during a match at Everton, telling him to "**** off, white boy".[32] Diouf defended his actions by saying that the ball-boy had thrown the ball to him "like a bone to a dog" and that Everton fans were racially abusing and throwing bananas at him; police found no evidence of this.[33] In April 2010, Diouf was arrested and charged with motoring offences in Manchester.[34] On 8 January 2011, following Blackburn's 1–0 win over Queens Park Rangers in the FA Cup third round, QPR manager Neil Warnock accused Diouf of taunting Jamie Mackie whilst the latter lay on the pitch injured with a broken leg and referred to Diouf as "lower than a sewer rat".[35] On 14 July 2011, it was reported that Diouf had not joined Blackburn Rovers for a pre-season tour of Austria and that his whereabouts were unknown.[36] It was later revealed that disciplinary measures would probably be taken against him.[37] In Scotland On 2 March 2011, Diouf was one of three Rangers players sent off in the Old Firm Derby, after an altercation at the touchline with Neil Lennon and dissent to the referee at full time.[38][39] Diouf was fined £5000 in April 2011 and warned over his future conduct by the Scottish Football Association.[40]

RowlattsFox Posted 7 September 2011 Posted 7 September 2011 Training with PNE according to SSN... phew Highly doubt he'll be joining them though, probably just Phil Brown doing him favour while he keeps fit because they know each other from Bolton days.
Guest Col city fan Posted 7 September 2011 Posted 7 September 2011 Stevie Walsh was always known as a playboy He was also known as a player that loved the club, that gave the other players a bollocking when they needed one and scored some incredibly important goals for City. He was with us for years. In many ways his tough approach was respected by both fans and fellow players alike. Yes, he allegedly sometimes caused friction in the dressing room because of his 'sexy antics' but To liken this to a complete willy puller such as Diouf is frankly ridiculous.
lestajigs Posted 7 September 2011 Posted 7 September 2011 Wayne Bridge is awful. Positionally on par with Ryan McGivern, woeful player. Your over stepping the mark, Wayne bridge is certainly not THAT bad
