lcfc22 Posted 5 September 2011 Posted 5 September 2011 El-Hadji Diouf Will NOT be joining Leicester So that means he will be joining I like what you're doing Liam.
accessory Posted 5 September 2011 Posted 5 September 2011 You've posted a link to the Guardian's equivalent of the BBC's Gossip column, where they read all the tabloids/websites and post the rumours that are flying around, just in a slightly more entertaining way than the list the BBC provides. When it comes to actual rumours, according to this website it's the most accurate. It tends to post fewer rumours (0.3 per day compared to the 6.1 per day in the NOTW when it was around), but has the highest success rate at 34.5%. The Metro sits at a nice 12.7% But the Beeb site quotes sources. As the Guardian didn't, I assumed the story was from one of their own hacks (though possibly with the same sources as the Mirror's..) A failure rate of 65%+ is hardly anything to write home about, even if it is considerably lower than either the Mirror or the People (78.5% and 86.1% respectively). Maybe stories originating from those sites should be treated the same way as those from Football Rumours.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 5 September 2011 Posted 5 September 2011 Teeheee good to see my page didnt fool anyone, I kinda rushed it. But yes, Everyone read my first post. This WONT happen. Reason listed
Callabinho Posted 5 September 2011 Posted 5 September 2011 RobTannerMerc Rob Tanner Treat the Diouf link with caution LCFC fans. Will it bite?
panky and our gang Posted 5 September 2011 Posted 5 September 2011 Speculation eh may as well spit in the wind .
Salieri Posted 5 September 2011 Posted 5 September 2011 It's okay, Twitter Liam has confirmed he won't be coming so we can all breathe a sigh of relief.
Liamlcfc1 Posted 5 September 2011 Posted 5 September 2011 It's okay, Twitter Liam has confirmed he won't be coming so we can all breathe a sigh of relief. Would like to know where on twitter you can find this please let me know when you do.
MC Prussian Posted 5 September 2011 Posted 5 September 2011 El-Hadji Diouf Will NOT be joining Leicester Great - you were only... 8 hours slower than Fourth_Official.
tickler28 Posted 5 September 2011 Posted 5 September 2011 I've just got one Name to mention: Jamie mackie. What he did when he broke his leg made me want to smash the tv screen. Complete c***t .
He's not bald Posted 5 September 2011 Posted 5 September 2011 It's okay, Twitter Liam has confirmed he won't be coming so we can all breathe a sigh of relief. Dam..that means we have absolutely no idea!

A fair point about the Rumour Mill (about it not quoting like the BBC), I guess if you don't have a gander every day you don't realise! It's hardly anything to write home about, but it's still better than all the other papers, which just shows you how much shit there is thrown about I do wonder how that website calculates how many rumours though. I mean, if last year for example the Sun went in every day with a story about Fabregas to Barcelona, would that count as one failed rumour (because he didn't move last year) or a billion failed rumours? I'm just waffling now.
Happy Fox Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 I would rather have Wayne Bridge he can play as a LM as well as his predominant position as LB
Bert Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 Great - you were only... 8 hours slower than Fourth_Official. No need to be such a bitch about it.
thybluefox Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 Some peoples lives must be very empty if they have to get their kicks by picking on someone over the internet.
One Arm Babba Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 Why do people abuse others that more often than not provide us with early information? So what if it is on Twitter as well, not everyone can be bothered to trawl Twitter. Give the lads a break. Is it any wonder Bert stopped posting. Is it because your jealous that they find out things before you? Grow up.

MC Prussian Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 No need to be such a bitch about it. Well, then there's no need to reply with a rather self-righteous response. I'm glad this Diouf chapter is closed. Football needs role models, not wannabe-gangstas.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 I would rather have Wayne Bridge he can play as a LM as well as his predominant position as LB Wayne Bridge is awful. Positionally on par with Ryan McGivern, woeful player.
panky and our gang Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 Yeah but your still a pedantic **** prussian .
Tielemans63 Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 Wayne Bridge is awful. Positionally on par with Ryan McGivern, woeful player. Spot on - For me Bridge is probably the most over-rated footballer in recent memory. He has had an incredible career for someone who is distinctly average. Let's be honest, if he was right-footed he'd have never got further than a lower champ club. He hasn't been a regular anywhere since he left Soton and has still always earned 90k+ a week!

bettso Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 Shame he's not coming. I think a complete arsehole is what the team have been missing. For all his heroics and legendary status, when all is said and done Steve Walsh was an absolute piece of shit. Sometimes a player like that can not only light a firework up the arse of his teammates but can get the crowd going too (and god knows our crowd needs it!!). His actions in some circumstances are not excusable but a part of me would quite like to see him go over to take a corner in front of the away fans, have some snotty nosed, burberry clad, football factory wannabe call him black bastard or something equally un-inventive and then watch old El-Hadji gob in his face and start a 20 man brawl. We're regarded as too much of a soft touch and a complete **** like Diouf would change that perception immediately.
Toffee_Fox Posted 6 September 2011 Posted 6 September 2011 Training with Preston as a certain club told him to prove his commitment and attitude. That club as said a few days back is "up norrrrrf" so you needn't worry.

Tits like him have no place in football, because they only pretend to possess anything remotely close to talent. People like Totti at Roma are icons not just because they like winding up opposing players, but mainly because they're also equally gifted footballers and because they take pride in wearing their club's shirt. None of these points apply to the Human Lama.
