MikeyT Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Staring line ups announced: City boss Sven-Goran Eriksson makes three enforced changes to his side for the East Midlands clash with Derby County at King Power Stadium. Midfield duo Richie Wellens and Michael Johnson, along with striker Jermaine Beckford, have been ruled out with injuries picked up in Wednesday's goalless draw at Middlesbrough. That means an immediate return to the starting eleven for the fit-again David Nugent in attack, while Gelson Fernandes and Neil Danns are restored to the midfield four. Derby boss Nigel Clough sticks with the starting eleven that drew 1-1 with Barnsley in midweek, but welcomes back the fit-again Kevin Kilbane to the substitutes bench. City: Kasper Schmeichel, Lee Peltier, Paul Konchesky, Matt Mills ©, Sol Bamba, Andy King, Darius Vassell, Yuki Abe, Neil Danns, Gelson Fernandes, David Nugent. Subs: John Pantsil, Steve Howard, Lloyd Dyer, Chris Weale, Jeff Schlupp. Derby County: Frank Fielding, John Brayford, Gareth Roberts, Craig Bryson, Jason Shackell ©, Steve Davies, Jamie Ward, Ben Davies, Theo Robinson, Jeff Hendrick, Mark O'Brien. Subs: Kevin Kilbane, Adam Legzdins, Russell Anderson, Conor Doyle, Lee Croft. Referee: Howard Webb (South Yorkshire)
Webbo Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Looks like Nugent up front on his own. Good to see Dyer on the bench.
Kilworthfox Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Looks like Nugent up front on his own. Good to see Dyer on the bench. Surely its 4-4-2 with Vassel upfront with Nugent?
Webbo Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Surely its 4-4-2 with Vassel upfront with Nugent? You know I didn't even notice Vassell on the team sheet.

Kilworthfox Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Is that an intimidation tactic? C'mon be a bit more positive! Just a highlight
nothin2seehere Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Is that an intimidation tactic? You'd be a bold man to make that claim.
Jace Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 currently sitting 13th in the bottom half now with todays results hopefully we will get 3 points
Jace Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 no johnson on the bench suprises me, do we know how long beckford will be out for yet?
steveherbe Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 And Howard bloody Webb is the referee! Thats it then, free kick to Derby, move the ball 50 yards and score. I HATE WEBB.
Stay Positive Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 You'd be a bold man to make that claim. Ha, I didn't put it in bold initially. It just looked like it was a signature before I did, so the highlighter came out. Er...the highlighter pen that is, before anyone gets any funny ideas about me...
Jace Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Why does it surprise u cus he injured if that was in response to me its because I didnt realise Johnson was injured, what injury has he picked up??
Bryn Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Look like we're moving the ball about with much more pace.
Bryn Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 We look ****ing well up for it, playing great football. Want this one.
Bryn Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Not seen King play this well in a long time. Derby can't cope with him.
sphericalfox Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 SKy commentators talking shite as usual. You should have joined my drinking game. I'm smashed already.
BoneDog Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Lively start from us. Great chance for Vassell from King's pass, shame he never got a shot off.
