Stay Positive Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 I know the general consensus from most folk seems to be Akinbiyi, but I don't think he's even close. Dennis Wise, for me, is the absolute worst signing we ever made. What does everyone else think?
MikeyT Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Lee Marshall and Junior Lewis. Abysmal doesn't even come close to describing them.
Stay Positive Posted 1 October 2011 Author Posted 1 October 2011 Lee Marshall and Junior Lewis. Abysmal doesn't even come close to describing them. In terms of ability, those two are difficult to disagree with, I must admit. I just felt that Wise tore the team spirit apart and that's why I chose him.
Jace Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Akinbiyi for me is still top not just was it the money it was the effect it seemed to have on the club at the time, weve seen teams like chelsea and man utd waste silly money on bad signings before like Mutu but never can I remember a signing have such a bad impact aswell
PegguyArphexad Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Clearly Wise. He was a major contributory factor in the first administration...
liamsm Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 There is only 1 surely, as it dont say player, it just says worst signing PETER TAYLOR
Far Post Gerry Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Dennis Wise. Shit players come and go, but no-one has ever ****ed up the City dressing room more than that cnut.
bluefox9er Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Roger Davis in the 70's and ANY ONE of Peter Taylor's donkeys.
funkyrobot Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 I don't know about the worst buy but I know who the best one has been in the last 50 years. Three words - Casino Jimmy Neilsen
The Doctor Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Got to agree with Wise, although there are other names that spring to mind *cough* John Curtis *cough*
funkyrobot Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Lee Morris was pointless. He was signed as a training aid for our physios
Bugg Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Sergio Hellings What was the point, just a waste of wages that could have been spent on something else.

One Arm Babba Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Got to agree with Wise, although there are other names that spring to mind *cough* John Curtis *cough* You mean John Merrick, right?
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 who would be O'Neills worst signing? Fenton or Gilchrist.
tickler28 Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Jason Mcateer. Did he ever do anything? Scrap that just realized he failed a medical....Jason Wilcox then equally as pointless
leicesterseddon Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 In my lifetime Junior Lewis, Alan Rodgers, Mark de Vries, Zolt Lzatco (or however you spelt his ****ing name, I can't even remember now), Kevin Pressman are all up there.
Guest shearfox Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Junior Lewis how he ever became a pro footballer still baffles me.
