Reynard Bleu Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 Lammie Robertson circa Frank McLintocks reign. One amongst a batch of utter gash he signed on the cheap.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 Lammie Robertson circa Frank McLintocks reign. One amongst a batch of utter gash he signed on the cheap. Agreed.
Jon the Hat Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 Wise obviously, nearly sent the club out of existence. In Value for money terms I would say Matt Jones through no fault of his own.
wellyfox Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 Martin Henderson. Fat slow no control and for a striker could not him a cows arse with a banjo
Ambitious Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 Ade Akinbyi, without a doubt, the fact he's our record signing is a £u(k!n embarrassment. What the hell was Peter Taylor thinking? His goal scoring record the previous season for Wolves in a lower league wasn't exactly amazing. He couldn't even get in Nigeria's Squad for £u(k sake! let alone the first 11, would have been worth a gamble on a free transfer but £5.5million! We could have got someone a lot better and a lot cheaper surely? What was he thinking?
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 In my time of watching, I could never stand Josh Low.
roblcfc84 Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 Plenty from the 04-08 era. exactly what I thinking - Josh low gets my vote
wattolcfc Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 Worst person to ever sign on the dotted line of a contract... PETER TAYLOR!!!
poggypogpog Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 Fenton or Gilchrist. I'd agree with Fenton, but Gilchrist was pretty good (especially when playing with Elliott) Gunnlaugsson was a bit of a waste of space.
wellyfox Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 Ok i know off topic but can anyone tell me if i'm right in thinking Winston White was our first black player??
MGLCFC Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 Maybe Leon Crncic - has a player ever signed for a club, been there a year and never played?
Saxondale Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 Junior Lewis....1 mill of pure shite We paid a mill for Junior Lewis? Thought he was £50k or something? Think Lewis was the worst player I've seen but Akinbiyi was the worst signing (ie. value for money). Plenty of other shite around that era, mind.
Izzet is God Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 We paid a mill for Junior Lewis? Thought he was £50k or something? Think Lewis was the worst player I've seen but Akinbiyi was the worst signing (ie. value for money). Plenty of other shite around that era, mind. 50k was only the intial fee...it rose to about 1 mill with appearances and add on's/agent fees. Another brilliant bit of financial management from Peter Taylor
Guest MattP Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 Fenton or Gilchrist. WTF? Gilchrist was fantastic 90% of the time,, never forget his MOM performance when he scored in our 2-0 win at Anfield. In terms of ability Lewis is probably the worst but he was 50k. Hammond at 350k as well was dreadful. In terms of money though Akinbiyi and Jones were shocking value.
cc_star Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 Plenty of bad players have turned out for us, but like most people no one has been as destructive as Wise & his stupid monster monster agent twat
Soar Fox Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 Matt Jones was a good player but he was just unlucky with injuries. Also wouldn't we have been covered by insurance for him?
J.Lisemore Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 Got be Dennis Wise. Give me a shit player all day long over this bloke, who tried to send us out of business.
Lcfclee Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 Kermorgant was decent but tricky Trevor Benjamin was woeful the he only had 1 eye
accessory Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 Wise is the obvious choice. Although nowadays we can console ourselves with the thought it wasn't personal - he went on to wreck Leeds and Newcastle too. Dishonourable mentions should also go to the following persons from the past decade. Jacob Laursen Nathan Blake Scott Gemmill Joe Hamill Jamie Clapham Wayne Brown
