lovelcfc Posted 20 October 2011 Posted 20 October 2011 Does anyone else think this guy has been brilliant since moving here dont forget hes had to come up a league and never really looked out of place and hes keeping panstil out the team could be as good as kyle naughton in a couple of years ?
Rhysm Posted 20 October 2011 Posted 20 October 2011 Different type of player to Kyle who I believe was one of the best players for City in a number of years. He was lightning quick, so consistent and probably did the work of two players as he had such a good engine. That said I have been really surprised by Peltier from what I have seen and he is still a fantastic player. Not as quick but provides a consistent solid option. Future captain perhaps?

I have been pleasently surprised with Peltier, think he can be good for us and is putting in some solid performaces. However, I would like to see him get forward more, there were times last night he could have done this but was just too static and to say in a couple of years he will be as good as Naughton is a little bit off. Firstly Naughton is miles ahead of Peltier a secondly he's a couple of years younger than Peltier, therefore in a couple of years Naughton could be even better.
StanSP Posted 20 October 2011 Posted 20 October 2011 He's handled the step-up brilliantly. Settled in perfectly and I'm glad he's keeping Pantsil out of the team. Peltier seems more comfortable on the ball and supports a hell of a lot in the attacks. Because he wasn't a big-money signing, he probably isn't getting the credit he's deserved all the time, and he's gone unnoticed. But as long as he keeps putting in the performances like he has been doing, I'm happy for it for it to stay that way! Turned out to be one of my favourite and one of the best signings this summer.
Austin Posted 20 October 2011 Posted 20 October 2011 Very solid all the time .. Really like the lad, seems to want to give everything when he's on the pitch. Cracking signing.

Konchesky was given so much room last night so was the obvious option for the defence/midfield for the 'out' ball so Peltier didn't need to get forward much, in the 2nd half neither FB crossed the half way line more than a couple of times - under instruction
Simmo86 Posted 20 October 2011 Posted 20 October 2011 Lovely bit of play last night when he megged two Watford defenders in front of L1
dannythefox Posted 20 October 2011 Posted 20 October 2011 Great player settled in well i think hes stronger than Naughton but not as skillfull and as fast but a very good replacement!
EnderbyFox Posted 20 October 2011 Posted 20 October 2011 Very versatile, has looked solid at both RB and CB this season. Definitely one of our better signings.

I might have been seeing thing last night, but i can remember Peltier trying to get forward in the second half and Sven gave him a telling off for it.
samuel Posted 20 October 2011 Posted 20 October 2011 Yes as Davie G has said, he was under instruction to stay back.

Criggers Posted 20 October 2011 Posted 20 October 2011 I wouldn't min seeing him rifle it in from 30 yards like Naughton did. But that's just me being picky It goes to show that the signings made for less money have settled in better. The ones that haven't attracted the fanfare like Kasper, Pelts & Nuge.
Corky Posted 20 October 2011 Posted 20 October 2011 He's been fine, always willing to support the attack and is linking up well with Abe.
paddy Agyemang Posted 20 October 2011 Posted 20 October 2011 Loved him when he played for Huddersfield, he is top notch
LCFC BEAST Posted 20 October 2011 Posted 20 October 2011 He's been a surprise star for me and trying to fill Naughton's boots and everyone comparing them together he's done a cracking job!
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 20 October 2011 Posted 20 October 2011 Peltier certainly appears to be a quality player, who has settled down, and is extremely confident in all he does.
EverybodyDannsNow Posted 20 October 2011 Posted 20 October 2011 I think it's unfair on the lad to compare him to Naughton. Naughton was our best player week in week out last season, very unusual for a full back. Back to Peltier though, very suprised at how good he's been, got a great future ahead of him- hopefully at leicester
