Babylon Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 I think he was meaning you've had to of managed in this league before and done well which rules alot out! I know dude, i'm playing devils advocate to stir up debate.
Ashley Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 He just wont. The guy is bad news. He really isn't bad news. He would be a good manager here, he knows the division well plus with the squad we have plus more funds(IF NEEDED). PS: I was being sarcastic on the first bit of my previous post replying to Leicesterpool he hasn't got a clue
Cubbyben Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 I have supported Internazionale since 1991 but am a born and bread City fan, the idea of Rafa Benitez would horrify me so much that I dont even know what I'd do! A phone in near you would explode though! He is a professional breaker of players, he has no idea that running half marathons 2-3 times a week during the season will actually harm the teams fitness rather than help it. It is never his fault and the media are always out to get him. I would rather give the job to some kid that plays FM2012 than him.

Took over a side that had just won the Champions League, Serie A and Italian Cup, took them to midtable within 3 months and then demanded more money to make them competitive. If he shows up here I won't be going for a while.

If he shows up here I won't be going for a while. His treatment of the players was the scariest thing, he had no respect for any of them, He tore down pictures of Mourinho at the training complex. The guy is genuinely a head case and would do serious damage to this club.

ScouseFox Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Benitez is actually still living in the North West, he has been hanging around like a bad smell waiting for something here to come up. He's actually been involving himself in the Hillsborough stuff, drumming up money for certain charities and holding events talking to fans. As well as appearing in a play about Istanbul.
Thracian Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Absolutely no new information following that interview. I find it very strange that they have nobody in mind just yet, makes the timing of Sven's departure seem all the more bizarre. Strange indeed and especially considering City players knew before the Millwall match that Sven would be out if the game was lost. I'm really quite concerned about MON's apparent hesitancy and am fast wondering if we should target Ole Gunnar Solskjaer instead. We really don't want this situation dragging on.

I am no body language expert but looking at him he seemed to get quite fidgety as soon as his name was mentioned whilst regurgitating the party line about candidates.
