Babylon Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Exclusive video of Schteve Mclaren stopping top in the car park outside the KP.
Burmesefox Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 As dexter would say "this is stupid", do the board know what there putting there fans through at the moment. The only other thing is that maybe the owners are currently speaking to O'Neill, but just saying this to keep the paparazzi away, to not put him of the job! Remember Scolari put of for the england job by paparazzi. "What they're putting their fans through.... They're - short for they are Their - showing possesion There - showing location (think her and there) Grammar police leaving the room....woooo woooo woooo woooo
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Sorry I've missed your other post about this how do you know? If Martin O Neill is in talks he would of asked the board to keep hush anybody remember when he had a deal agreed with West Ham last season and when the board let slip to the media he changed his mind? My mate was chief scout under a previous manager & so he knows club insiders. His info has proved to be very reliable.
Hitesh Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 I'd be astounded if we haven't made contact with O'Neill or Hughes yet, ASTOUNDED. I can't understand what we're waiting for to be honest?!
HEGGSY Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Good to see that Top isn't just interested in a "big name"
Dan Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 It's as clear as daylight MON will be offered the job. It'd be the perfect manager for the owners. As stated, him taking it is another matter.
Saxondale Posted 26 October 2011 Author Posted 26 October 2011 Watching extended version of interview. Rob Dorsett asked Aiyawatt what characteristics he's looking for in a manager. Said he wanted somebody to motivate etc (the obvious things), but added that he wanted somebody who know's the league. Think that counts against many of the names linked (especially the foreign candidates).
Babylon Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Think that counts against many of the names linked (especially the foreign candidates). And O'Neil.
Saxondale Posted 26 October 2011 Author Posted 26 October 2011 And O'Neil. Errr... O'Neill got us promoted from this league.

StanSP Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 'Someone who knows the league'. See ya later, Karl Robinson.

Babylon Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Errr... O'Neill got us promoted from this league. Really? How long ago was that and how many games has he ever managed in this league? I'd say Sven is probably close to having more experience of this league now.
foxoffderby Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Just seen the report on SSN with Top The main things I read into it was he (Top) wants Somebody to lead them into the Premier League this season Somebody who has experience in this league Somebody with real passion who can motivate the team He wants to look at all the CV's before making the choice He hasent spoken to MON YET A 'name' isn't priority He knows who the fans want From that I would say we can rule out all the managers like Benitez and Ancelotti etc I do think MON is the first choice if that faills he may go for a Billy Davis (not my choice) type with Championship experience
Master Fox Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 God, It's Milan Mandric all over again. I really hope its Dowie. Please be Dowie

Simi Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Regardless of what has been said, I think we would be very naive to think he has not put the feelers out to MON or at least his people. Please not Billy Davies. The man is a cretin of the highest order and is nowhere near as good as everyone suggests he is.
I am Rod Hull Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Someone who knows this league ? Yes please...
Ozwin Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 He's just been on, said he and Sven are on good terms still and Sven knew what was expected of him. The whole Sven thinking he should have been sacked earlier makes more sense now.
Guest Col city fan Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Regardless of what has been said, I think we would be very naive to think he has not put the feelers out to MON or at least his people. Please not Billy Davies. The man is a cretin of the highest order and is nowhere near as good as everyone suggests he is. Like him or not, Billy Davies would probably get this team promoted..then relegated in successive seasons.. Shame he can't keep his gob shut enough, although working at Forest would make anyone want to rant

Shame he can't keep his gob shut enough, although working at Forest would make anyone want to rant I've got Derby and Forest supporting mates who will vouch for the fact he is never happy, regardless of the money he has to spend on players etc. And when things turn bad, he's the last man to blame in his eyes. He may get results but this man is not for us.
Jace Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 I think Top might be telling the truth got quite a shock this morning at breakfast
Reynard Bleu Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Like it or not, we won't be the first to know anything. Owners are not going to set hares running by indicating they have anyone in mind. They may well have a good idea of the top 3 or 4 they want to look at, but they are not going to give anyone a leg up by saying we might fancy them. The only thing I know for sure the news will be on a forum before its on the club website.
