blueblood Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 THIS HAS GOT BE ONE OF THE FUNNIEST STORIES I'VE READ IN AGES!!! http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11712/7267219/McGhee-ponders-future
Leicesterpool Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 I also hear rumors while he was at Forest he was hardly at the training ground. If he's that good why are Forest still in the Championship!
Guest Col city fan Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 I've got Derby and Forest supporting mates who will vouch for the fact he is never happy, regardless of the money he has to spend on players etc. And when things turn bad, he's the last man to blame in his eyes. He may get results but this man is not for us. I can well believe it... Sounds like he can be an arrogant sod... This could be why he's exactly the sort of bloke needed to stir these players into some sort of action? The problem I have with Davies is that I can't see him being the correct long-term replacement And for those on here wanting 'stability' this would not be the answer.
Hitesh Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 THIS HAS GOT BE ONE OF THE FUNNIEST STORIES I'VE READ IN AGES!!! http://www1.skysport...-ponders-future What a tool!
ajthefox Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 I can't believe they'd make an article about a manager saying he's certain he's not going to get it!!
TrentFox Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 I've got Derby and Forest supporting mates who will vouch for the fact he is never happy, regardless of the money he has to spend on players etc. And when things turn bad, he's the last man to blame in his eyes. He may get results but this man is not for us. Not so sure. Having witnessed the ruthless side of our owners this week, I thnk it quite conceivable that someone like BD might be given a shot at getting us up before being unceremoniously dumped for the higher profile manager that some might think is required to take us forward again. Highly controversial, but that is no reason for it not to happen. I think the biggest challenge is to get out of this league (north, rather than south!), and BD might be the man for that. IF (hate sayiing it) MON decides not to take the post that surely will be offered him, who would you choose if your life depended on getting us up ?? Most suggestions on here for new manager are people's own philosophies and beiliefs being spouted.... but if your life depended on it, (other than MON) who would you reallly, REALLY want to manage the next 30 games ???
Leicesterpool Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 what I can't understand why some people want an ex Forest & Derby reject managing are club!
Guest Col city fan Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 what are can't understand why some people want an ex Forest & Derby reject managing are club! eh?
I am Rod Hull Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 what i can't understand is why some people want an ex Forest & Derby reject managing our club! Billy Davis ex Leicester player. M O`N ex Forest player. Your argument is somewhat flawed...
Leicesterpool Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 answering to Trentfox my second choice would be Roberto Di Matteo. Though I think he's busy at Chelsea.
Leicesterpool Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Billy Davis ex Leicester player. M O`N ex Forest player. Your argument is somewhat flawed... Yes but Martin only played for one of our rival clubs, Davies managed two!
TrentFox Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 answering to Trentfox my second choice would be Roberto Di Matteo. Though I think he's busy at Chelsea. Maybe. But he's not really number 2 material - only a matter of time before he takes the big chair somewhere - why not here ? He'd be a great call in the "if your life depended on it" idea. You won't like it, but, (assuming no MON), I would probably lean to BD !!!
I am Rod Hull Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Yes but Martin only played for one of our rival clubs, Davies managed two! That makes sense...
Ashley Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Yes but Martin only played for one of our rival clubs, Davies managed two! Makes sense. Billy Davies would be a good manager to have at Leicester.
Finchy Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Yes but Martin only played for one of our rival clubs, Davies managed two! I couldn't give a toss if he'd slept with every Forest fan in the country. If he's a good manager, he's welcome.
Guest MattP Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Watching it now. Who do you want? "Someone to take us to the Premier League"
Leicesterpool Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 seen this http://www.thisisleicestershire.co.uk/Leicester-City-owners-8216-bend-backwards-8217/story-13666076-detail/story.html
Simi Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Makes sense. Billy Davies would be a good manager to have at Leicester. He just wont. The guy is bad news.
Guest MattP Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Makes sense. Billy Davies would be a good manager to have at Leicester. You can't argue with his record at this level. With him in charge you certianly wouldnt see us in 13th after a year in charge of the side.
dannythefox Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Really? How long ago was that and how many games has he ever managed in this league? I'd say Sven is probably close to having more experience of this league now. I think he was meaning you've had to of managed in this league before and done well which rules alot out!

Bert Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 They blatantly have made contact with some managers, including O'Neill. Why would they say that they haven't? They want to keep us on our toes and they don't want to give off the wrong impression. As soon as they mention they have spoken to someone in particular, a lot of fans will just circle like vultures in to believing that he'll be the next man. Just everyone, chill the fuck out. They blatantly haven't had any contact with O'Neill. Yet.
body102 Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Really? How long ago was that and how many games has he ever managed in this league? I'd say Sven is probably close to having more experience of this league now. What Leicester need is a motivator , we have good quality players at the club but the work ethic just does not seem to be there at the moment . To get out of this league the players obviously need to be a good standard but need to have the bottle for a scrap , and a manager who will instill this into them . O'neill fits the bill perfectly (can't see it happening but would love him back) , Sven just seemed a bit too nice and you couldn't really see him giving the players a proper bollocking .
Burmesefox Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 The poisoned dwarf would be a decent manager. He wouldnt stand any shit from friggin players turning up late for training. Players would know who the ****ing boss is and knuckle down that's for sure. Five foot two Eyes of bue Billy Davies' after you nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah Still MON is first choice (if a choice at all)
