scottthefox Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 I saw Matt Mills out in Leicester last night, shook his hand and he told me we're still going up this season so he clearly must have been drinking. Its nice to know that the players still believe but I'm not sure about the players preparations. With arguably one of the biggest games of the season tomorrow and surely a training session today, should players be out on the town the night before? I know they're only human and need a social life like everyone else but it raises some questions of commitment for me. What do you think?
wattolcfc Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Where was he and what time was this? If it wasnt too late, i'd let him off
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Let them get on with it. Sports science bollocks.
Burmesefox Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 3 match ban - so its his last match out. To be honest most players have a beer on the thursday as they dont train too hard on the friday (if at all) Muzzy, Lenny, and Sav were always in fat cats on thursday nights on the sauce.
scottthefox Posted 28 October 2011 Author Posted 28 October 2011 Mills is suspended tomorrow anyway True, but he still would have had training this morning. I'm more playing devil's advocate than condeming him being out, plus he came across as a bit of a cock.
Tommy G Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 He hasn't got a game but I agree re training. Was he with any other players thaat are usually in the squad? If so not good...

StanSP Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Let them live their lives. It's up to them what they get up to. You seem them out on one night. You can hardly question their commitment based on what was probably about 5-10 minutes of social interaction.

Half of the players in arguably our best team in my time of supporting Leicester were pissheads.
tickler28 Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 When I lived in Leicester during O'Neill years I always saw players out. Most notable was Robbie Savage in the Palais (forget exact name) on Tuesday Student night!!! Other occasion was Thursday night at what was Mosquito Coast....Peggy Arphexad and Frank Sinclair pissed and smoking....shocking but who cares.......Ian Marshall would smoke on the subs bench but he was a legend!!!

They are always out on thursday night, they only do half day training sessions on a friday usually. Peltier, Bamba, Mills, King, Smith & sometimes Schmeichel are regulars on a thursday night.
wellyfox Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Seen Lennon out a few times befor home games on a friday night. Never done him any harm. But some muppet will read this n say he was crap and thats why :crylaugh:

I once saw Julian Joachim out with Gary Mac and Mark Bright at Passion in Coalville - JJ had just scored for Villa against Leicester that day and when I said I was a Leicester fan he looked a bit worried (I'm not hard, but I was scoobied)
Filberts Treat Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Fair play to the lad. Only human. Nice to see the players out in the town they play for.

Matty Elliott used to smoke as well when he was at Leicester. They wouldn't get away with it now. All this sports science bollocks!
