BlueSi13 Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 You would say that judging by the Palace fans reaction on that forum, Freedman is a good manager and they are desperate to hold on to him. Personally, looking at their posts, I think Palace fans are illiterate and uneducated so they probably don't know anything anyway. Wow didn't know they even had any. This would be a surprise appointment no doubt about it. Not sure why we would go for somebody like Freedman and not look at attempting to prise Nigel Pearson back.
kingfox Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 I had a funny feeling he would get mentioned but certaintly not approached. He is just like Karl Robinson at MK Dons, very good prospect but hasn't had enough time, main thing though he has done well this season. But no way would I want him, i'd rather stick pins in my eyes.
Libertine Dream Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Leicester fans are so embarassing, wont give a manager the chance to prove himself. Clark, solskjaer and now freedman have all been shot straight down by a large amount. Then if its davies or jones who both know the division there not good enough. Unless its the great white hope(where did he come from and how did his tenure start) then you're not interested. Lets approach Fergie or Guadiola then. Although we cant do that because they dont have championship experience. I understand Dougie seems strange if it did happen, and not the greatest appointment but if it is him or any other give him at least 1 game?
Schlupp Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Dougie Freedman to be the next Leicester manager. Step up to a massive club for him. No point staying on at a tinpot gypo club like Palace.

Let's not let him settle in.
kingfox Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Now I have heard this about Freedman. I see Stringer has said Iain Dowie has applied for the job, and now Gordon Strachan is 2nd favourite with Sky Bet. I feel sick absolutely effin sick

I think most fans with their heads screwed on would back any manager for a decent time, whether they feel they're up to the job or not beforehand.
LCFC FOX Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 http://www.cpfc.org/forums/showthread.php?t=226186&page=2 pretty funny what they have to say just because they have managed to get out of the bottom half for once they think hes amazing. They clearly know nothing. Hope he stays with them and they go down.

It doesnt mean that if any other manager takes over he wont be given support or be respected.....
whoareyaaa Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 MON needs to rescue the club right about now

We are in no position to be taking risks with up and coming managers, we have to go up. Billy Davies and Dave Jones have consistently managed to get teams into the top 6, and both have had promotions. Dougie Freedman has done well for 13 games of the season, I think it's understandable for fans not to be convinced by him, don't get me started on OGS.
somebum Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Yep, I am afraid it's true - Strachan's odds are now 4/1. God help us. Let's hope for some bizarre lightning bolt to hit him on his way to the Walkers
Schlupp Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 I don't get it,You lot think Clark would be a good appointment,A lad with no championship experience where as Dougie as turned round pretty much a struggling team into contention to get into the play-offs.
whoareyaaa Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Dougie Fkin Freedman the word WHO comes to mind. we can do a lot better than this sht
ramboacdc Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 anyone needs me ill be driving to crystal palace with a padlock.
Libertine Dream Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Well....... Ok... but just one game. Let's not let him settle in. Well obviously but its better than not giving him any games, like most. Id give whoever (unless dowie or strachan in which case id never go again whilst theyre there) the season as long as its not really bad
LCFC FOX Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 im not going to lie freedman is a good manager. With some money he could easily get us promoted. But he would be about 8th in my list. coming after other experienced championship managers. SOONER have him than the plonker Ian Dowie. If we get him im not going to get a season ticket. 1.Matin O'neil 2.Billy Davies 3.Simon Grayson 4.Lee Clark 5.Mark Hughes 6.Dave Jones 7.Neil Lennon all before him though. I just don't want a foreign manager or will come in and spend lots on shit players who have never played in this league before. I want someone from the list above

Kitchandro Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 FFS. We sacked a manager so we could take a gamble on people this inexperienced? This is now a farce. Why have we not even attempted to get Di Matteo???
topharry123 Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 So we sacked Sven and now we're looking at a guy who's had under a seasons worth of managerial experience in his whole career. Come on, he may have done an alright job so far but not at all proven yet.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Rather have him than Dowie, but its hardly a great appointment if it happens. Only been at Palace a short while.

This is insane. WTF is Andrew Neville doing??? Speak up you daft old git.
lcfcadam Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Seriously have to ask what's going on in the owners' minds if this turns out to be true. Bernie would get my vote ahead of Top to run the club at the moment...
