Dave, we are all entitled to our opinions and for the record your understanding of yesterdays game is somewhat wide of the mark but in all honesty I for one can't enter dialogue with a so called supporter who quote "have no intention of going until I can see that some real changes are being made".

Like I said we are all entitled to our view but if we all adopted your attititude there would be nobody at the game on Tuesday night or possibly next Sunday come to that.

Prior to yesterday I have been to every game, home and away bar one, we have been, by and large, complete bobbins. We have a strong squad full of players who either don't give a shit or are so disillusioned by our consistently poor performances that they do not know what to do. There are a few honourable exceptions but in the main neither our players nor our management have the faintest idea of what they are trying to achieve.

If the KP was empty on tuesday, maybe someone, somewhere in the organisation would realise that the product simply is not good enough, if you are selling rubbish, sooner or later people stop buying.....:frusty:

You can question my attitude all you like but I have been supporting City for a very long time, and I am used to seeing us do poorly. I actually do not mind seeing us lose, so long as we have given the game our best shot. All my life I have watched us get beaten, usually by better teams but I am genuinely struggling to remember when a City team, with such obviously decent players, produced such rubbish week on week.

BTW If my summation of the game is wrong, feel free to enlighten me.....

I thought they would go with that starting line-up, but it didn't work in the first half.

Agreed, although the midfield didn't protect them enough in the first half.

Final ball was lacking badly in the first half despite getting into promising positions. Didn't make nearly enough of the several free-kicks we had in their half.

I thought they tried, they weren't good enough in the first half. It was a few players who made us look more threatening after half-time.

Possibly, but that was understandable. We did look better after half-time and we were winning 50/50 balls whereas in the first we were losing them.

I tend to agree, Howard is not the answer long-term, he made their defenders think which they hadn't done previously, but he's not going to solve our problems. Dyer could be useful when starting, his pace is an asset although his final ball is lacking.

We started in a formation that Sven spent six weeks proving we cannot play, we visit (arguably) the strongest team in the league with a starting line up that includes three strikers..... :frusty:

Our midfield three were so samey as to be largely anonymous, who was covering the back 4? providing the width? or the pace or the bloody cutting edge? No one thats who.....

This is ineptness of the highest order, in the end the only thing we could do was throw on a couple of 'has beens' who were at least prepared to compete, shows just how bad the rest of our performances hace been.

BTW Dyer is not the answer, whatever the question. When he starts he is invariably ineffective but he is occassionally but by no means always, useful from the bench. Thinking about it, exactly the same things apply to Howard, except he is older....:S

It's gonna get better Dave IMO.

A disciplinarian and motivator can turn this lot around

You gonna start going again if it does?

Personally I'd never boycott the games, cos Id miss it too much

I would love to return, as I said it's not about winning or losing, it's about giving it your best, at the moment we are barely making the effort, on or off the field.

My uncle (by marriage) came from a naval family. He volunteered to join the Royal Marines.

On his first day of training he was told by his CO that 'he was not expected to take on impossible odds and win', but the CO continued, 'he was, at least, expected to try'!

A bit over the top for a football forum, but I really can not think of a better way to describe my feelings at this time.

We pay to give em stick, whats his excuse

that's a bit of a backward view point - We pay to attend the match, not to give players stick. If you choose to then that's your decision but it's not what people should go to matches for.

Also, don't give out what you are not willing to receive in return - Our fans gave him stick, so he gave some back. My issue is that he went over the top on giving it back.

I don't think he is either, but he might allow us to stretch the game a bit more. It's all far too narrow, if Dyer uses his pace it might give others the space they don't currently have. We do need two wingers in January (the total lack of a proper right winger is ridiculous) but at the moment Dyer is all we've got and it might be worth giving him a go from the start.

We can't do any worse.

I've been away all weekend, can someone enlighten me on what Green did? I've read a few tweets saying this and that and that Peltier didn't shake his hand. Cheers.

Having just spent the weekend in essex I have only just returned to the land of the tinterweb. Well that was another day out ruined only by the 1st 45 mins, have to say our fans were excellent in my opinion, backed the players, love our sense of humor too, we're managerless and the absoulte pelting that Rob Green got, clearly we touched a nerve there.

Anyway, at half time I was fuming at how poor we had been, don't get me started on Beckford (i've had my say in his thread) and for us, King and Abe never got in the game in the 1st 45mins and Vassell should be grateful to Beckford for taking the spotlight of his laziness, can't believe he didn't track the full back for the 2nd goal.

However after going back to the tried and tested put the ball in the box, up to howard and see how they like it, I was much more pleased come full time.

I would hope that the owners may have learnt something yesterday, you can spend all the money in the world and try to play like Arsenal every week, but at this level if we want to get out this division, the Nigel Pearson/ MON direct way has got us closest to getting up, not the Sousa way. Oh and however poor lloyd dyers final ball is, wasn't it nice to have width.

Agree with most Alex said.

!st Half utter shite.

Alost more passion 2nd half and should have scraped a draw.

the Rob Green incident-Fair enough we gave him shit but if he gave abit back DURING the game and then did what he did i could understand it.

The fact he didnt react at all during the game proves he is just abit of a knob.

Some decent players in the past have had a laugh at taking some stick and good on them....Green was well OTT at the end and well done to Pelts for not shaking his hand.

The new manager has a good nucleus of players but some need a rocket up the arse... i wont name them but they are

Vasell"i only play for 5 mins a game",

Beckford"im too big for Leicester"

The whole midfield needs a mini rocket up the arse and then id give a rocket to them all for being a bunch of w@nkers.

What did Rob green do wrong? The stick we were giving him was horrendous. What was the chant?; 'you're a disgrace to this country, you let England down' followed by some muppets chanting 'USA USA'? We fully deserved it. Plus he was obviously glad to win having faced a 45min onslaught. Lighten up people. Give it by all means, but be prepared to take it too.

Cba reading the whole thread but I thought our support especially in the first half, even before they got the first, was woeful. Especially the left hand side of the stand we were in. I had to move at half time I felt so out of place. Despite everyone standing.

Beckfords a cnut, I really would prefer waghorn over him.

Howard and dyer again hopefully shutting up some of the, 'theyre not good enough for us' morons.

Sound like lee Clark met with the huddersfield players last night and said goodbye...
