Here we go again, another loss, automatic promotion is a no no at the moment, what are our owners thinking sacking Sven to bring in a unproven manager with no experience what so ever, doesnt look like we will be in the prem next season, all i can see is us with a huge minus at the start of next season when our owners do 1.

What I want to know is why are we not replacing Sven with with a BETTER manager? How the hell are even linked with Keegan and Clark they shouldn't even be getting a look in!

I question people's footballing knowledge on here at times. Lee Clark is one of many upcoming young managers, who deserve a chance. He has turned Huddersfield into a great side, scoring plenty of goals whilst not conceding, this from a poor to moderate team that looked relegation bound eventually. Keegan is a motivator, who has been there and done it, knows Clark, and has some contacts. Keegan as general manager and Clark as Head Coach would please me.

MON's experience was from lower league (except for a short spell at Norwich) before he came to Filbert St. Keep an open mind eh?

I am keeping an open mind, I'm not saying he won't succeed.

But I am saying it's a shitty risky appointment which makes no sense.

He's had one of the biggest budgets in the lague and in 3 years hasn't got them up.

Ask their fans, they don't rate him.

Rob Green demonstrating his true colours. After a whole half of Leicester fans chanting at him, he didn't just celebrate the three points that West Ham just about got hold of, he celebrated like he'd won the champions league. So close to getting a beer bottle up his head, that would have been unfortunate. Peltier came over and told him to stop in which he proceeded to explain what happened. "but they started it". Conducted his behaviour very very poorly.

Konchesky was really shaky and Wellens switches off way too easily. That would be the only thing that I would really moan about. We did very well today, and if there is a stream of moaners, i'll gladly tackle them. I'm proud of my team tonight.

Be warned though Jermaine Beckford, we the fans are extremely powerful, do not mess with us.

As much as Beckford has been awful, booing him off isn't going to help matters.

Rob Green, you're supposed to be a professional, in fact you've just shown that you're a disgrace - fair play to Peltier for not shaking his hand.

On to the game.

A poor first half let us down. St.Ledger looked uncomfortable all game and regularly got beat in the air and what on Earth was Konchesky doing for their 2nd goal?

Even at 2-0 I thought there was always something in the game for us.

The second we were first class. We had enough chances to win the game, let alone enough for a draw I thought we deserved. They had 2 shots and scored from one of them were St Ledger got mugged in the air.

Howard, Dyer, Nugent and King were top class in the second half. Peltier was his usual solid self. Wellens is so much better when he's got no time on the ball. He looked decent when he was driving us forward.

We've got a lot of heart to take out of this 2nd half performance. The last 3 games, for me have a shown how much we've missed Matt Mills.

Didn't think the ref was overly bad, a few baffling decisions and another STONEWALL penalty turned down mind.

Few rows in front of me there was a group of people who kept looking up at the tier above towards the end of the first half. Quite a bit of pointing and whatnot. Anyone know what that was about? Some scum West Ham fans spitting or something?

Do people not see why Sven was sacked/let go.. 1. Results were not good enough, they may have improved but leading to no 2. Unable to motivate his team, look at the passion in that second half today. We would not have got that if he was in charge. 3. The systems we use & no plan b. How many people have been frustrated with andy king so far this season? Probably most of us. Yet a change of system and he turned the game for us in that second half. As for no plan b, it was the same with England too.

So as for Sven being a top manager... Isn't that judged on results? Judged on how you get you teams to play? Making them consistent? This never happened under Sven, I like the guy but he only has his name and his contacts that make him a 'top' manager.. Thank you for raising the profile of our club, but now is time for us to wake up... Yes we have some decent players in our squad, yes we should be winning more games, yes we should be challenging for promotion.. All that is not going to happen until we have a manager that can mould them into a 'team' that can play good football, have passion, grit and determination to not lose games as easy as we have been recently!

So for all of those saying Clark and keegan would be a bad appointment because he hasn't got Huddersfield promoted, keegan doesn't know what he is doing etc.. You are so naive!!

The reasoning behind them as a pairing is pretty obvious, Clark doesn't have the experience of managing at this level.. Granted! But he has got a team playing well, hard to beat and challenging for promotion in their league.. Keegan on the other hand, well anyone that knows anything about keegan will know that he will motivate a team... His whole managerial career is based on that, we all know tactically he isn't great.. Keegan also is a big name (sure he has taken knocks over the years, but hadn't Sven too?) he could attract players to our club and I imagine would have some decent contacts

Personally I think this would be a decent appointment, sure it's a risk! But isn't every appointment, transfer etc in football!!

We need that passion back in our team just like we as supporters have in our team! I think this other than MON would bring some excitement back..

Kings 2nd goal! :appl: Take a bow son.

Thought the support was pretty good, apart from when we were 2 down.

West ham fans next to the away end were good (if the chavviest collection of individuals I've seen). Otherwise their fans didn't make a peep

Credit to Steve Howard. He is the perfect Plan B and a fantastic pro. He pretty much single-handedly changed the game by giving us an outlet.

Shame Dyer got injured. He looked brilliant when he came on running at his fullback.

I'd also like to ask why we lined up in a 4-3-3 in the first half. It was predictable that Beckford would not hold the ball up, so Nugent and Vassell would not be brought into play. Much better as 4-4-2 in the second half.

Beckford is proving a waste of money. It's a shame that Shlupp is not being given a chance to develop.

I am so gutted we didnt get a point. Thats the best defeat I think I have ever been too, if you are going to lose it was like that.

But the bottom line is we cant defend. SSL isnt good enough, and yet again we are piss poor in the end at set pieces and cant deal with the big strikers, the third goal was just route 1.

But the attacking play in the second half was brilliant. We were all very poor in the first half, especially Wellens again and Konchesky, whilst King was invisible.

But we came out with much more fight, even more so when Howard came on, you cant say a bad word about that man, I think he is a hero. (Beckford going off helped though, he was shite).

We moved the ball around well and put balls into the box creating width with Dyer on now too, it was a shame he was clattered and had to go off.

We created so many chances and were as usual so unlucky that the ball again hit the woodwork and didnt go in, does it ever?! And I thought we had a blatant penalty denied, King was chopped down in the box clearly. And with it being 2-1 at that point I think we may well have got 3 points let alone 1. King's second was cracking, both his goals came from Howards prescence. He has proved again to be the perfect plan B.

Pleased with the second half, it just a shame we lost it in the first half, the defence still needs improving, just basic work on it. Though on another plus point, we looked threatening from set pieces today, Green was forced to make a great saved from a header (possibly Peltier).

Think we will beat Burnley, we deserved a point, and the general togetherness in the second half I think will carry into Tuesday.

I think the ref got it spot on. It was right in front of me and whilst I'd like to see it again, it looked like King had knocked it slightly too far ahead, was going away from goal, so decided to go down.

Put it this way, if that had been given to West Ham, we'd all be livid.

Having left the game in despair last week after a miserable performance and result, today I left feeling more upbeat having seen my team fight from a deficit and show pride in their work and nearly snatch a point.

Defensively in the first half we were poor, both their first two goals came from down our left and Konchesky struggled badly to cope (though he improved as the game progressed). You can't give West Ham chances like that, with the quality of player they have they will take advantage. I feared a thumping, however we got back into the game and ended the first half brightly.

Second half we started well, Dyer gave us some life, and we started to threaten. Howard coming on was a boost; even though he didn't win much he gave the West Ham defenders something to think about, which lead to King's second goal. His first was through good pressure and a lovely cross from Wellens. Frustratingly we gave away a third at the wrong time, and via a typical Allardyce team goal: long ball, flick on and finish.

The second goal was a superb volley by King, after a similar move to the third goal for them, and we then hit the bar, keeper made a save and Nugent just wide.

After the rubbish we saw against Millwall it was good to see heads not drop at 0-2 and trying to get back in the game. They were very relieved to hold on, make no mistake about that. It was a cracking game and, if Dyer's fit, I'd start him and Howard on Tuesday. We looked much better when they came on.

I've just thought - barely anyone has said about how west ham are decent and not many teams will come away from there with a result.

Apart from Ipswich and Cardiff who have both beaten them whilst Leeds got a draw.

I thought Noble and Faubert were excellent. Otherwise they were no great shakes

They looked organised- but we had chances to get something out of the game.

We did get something - a beating and further evidence that we need to solve our problems quickly if we're to save our season. .

I agree, but that is happening, we are sorting out.

Hence the manager change.

We were beaten, and we defended poorly, but the second half was a much improved display on our previous away games so we were going in the right direction rather than caving in.

However, it's no points gained and we need some from Burnley.

Missed the game completely. Why was Vassell subbed so early? Injured or tactical (cos clearly it seems we were awful 1st half)?

Injured. He stretched for a ball in the air and looked like he strained his hamstring.
