Guest Col city fan Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 Mills is a crucial player particularly at present when defensively we have become shambolic again. The important thing is his partnership with Bamba. Mills is a good defender, aerially and positionally which gives bamba the chance to get up to his antics. SSL and Bamba don't have this awareness and understanding of each other, which could be developed, but I presume mills will be straight back in.
Adster Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 I hate him. I'm sure many people think the same about yourself!
Stevie Synex Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 What about Sunderland that won the league after being bottom at Christmas? Interesting point Bert Sunderland were lying in thirteenth place in October 2006 after fourteen games with a total of nineteen points (same as us) but having lost seven games by that time - they went onto win the division outright with a total of 88 points and lost twelve games in all. Worth noting that they scored a total of 76 goals in that campaign which I think we will fall short of this season but it gives us hope that it is possible!
Schlupp Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 I'm sure many people think the same about yourself! Harsh.
Schlupp Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 Bit like your views on Mills then. Not really,He's clearly came to the club for the money. He's had a few okay peformences but being given the armband over King peed me off aswell.
ealingfox Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 Think he was coming along leaps and bounds before the red card and sincerely hope he continues to do so, but I really really REALLY hope the new manager can get him to stop doing that stupid backspinned hollywood pass every single time he gets the ****ing ball, i've got barely any teeth left to grind.

Prove it? Your comments are completely invalid without any proof. And we dont all live to please you y'know!

He's getting paid around 30k a week,You don't honestly believe he joined us because we're a big club do you?I never said anyone had to please me all the time,I just gave my opinion,Am I not entilted to that or what? He also didn't go to Wolves,Premier League football just to get the money from us.
MPH Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 I don't think it's a coincidence that we played badly with mills being out. In short, his red card proved costly for Sven...

He probably is on a bit more than some players but to say that 'he is' is completely stupid as you have no idea. To be fair there are many factors taken into account over choosing Premier League football. Craig Mackail Smith could of gone to premier league if you believe reports, the factor he being some people prefer first real football over money. This could of been the case for Mills, maybe it couldn't. We don't know because we don't know what goes on inside his head. Not everyone is a money grabber. Also, Mills is our player , support and get behind you teams players for god sake, instead of hating them.

Fair point,But c'mon there's always one or two players that play for your club that you don't like,Before it was Kermorgant.I just don't think him being given the armband aswell helped his confidence,He's alittle inconsistant aswell.
Narborough_fox Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 We've conceded 3 goals back-to-back and you can't win games doing that. Much needed return
Conscript Fox Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Does anyone reckon with Bamba off soon for a bit, and a booking from a supension himself, that it might be worth taking a look at Mills/SSL at the back together ?
Saxondale Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 We're climbing an increasingly steep gradient right now and the sooner we reach flat ground the better. This is how I see it.
Bert Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Back in the team and a win.... Same for Danns too!
Thracian Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Back in the team and a win.... Same for Danns too! Danns didn't sound too hot on the radio. He's still a mystery man to me.
Bryn Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Had been class before the suspension, his return coinciding with a win may not be a coincidence. Bamba has been class this season but his form has dipped and he'll be suspended soon - Tunchev Mills sounds ****ing colossal to me.
STUHILL Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Back in the team and a win.... Same for Danns too! Whenever I've seen Danns, i think he has been very good but whenever I listen on the radio Alan Young tears him to bits!! Not sure if Youngy has a problem with him but he does come across over -critical or maybe Danns only plays well when I'm in the ground!!
Ric Flair Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Danns didn't sound too hot on the radio. He's still a mystery man to me. Agreed, he's been poor every time I've seen him This season except glimpses of quality against Forest.
Bert Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Danns didn't sound too hot on the radio. He's still a mystery man to me. Still played his part....
STUHILL Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Agreed, he's been poor every time I've seen him This season except glimpses of quality against Forest. Did you watch the Derby game?? He was class!!!
Ric Flair Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Did you watch the Derby game?? He was class!!! Yes I did and he was our weak link until his run and shot for our 2nd goal. He improved after that but he gave the ball away a lot. I'm being a little harsher on him because I rated him very high when we signed him and I expected him to be a reliable performer for us but so far he's been mediocre.
