Jollie Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 I don't think Mark Hughes will come, I think he'll be after a premiership job won't be surprised if he returns to Blackburn. Apparently Kean is looking for a house in the Northwest...sounds to me like he's staying put. He's supposes to be renting at the mo.
m00nie Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 But what difference does time taken to appoint one achieve? You can drop a b*llock either way. All you are doing is listening to some potential managers putting their interview voice on. The Thais should have known who they wanted before they sacked Sven. It looks to me like they know little about football. why do people keep saying this?? they had a meeting and seems an agreement couldnt happen so he left/sacked.. no point ion keeping him if they didnt agree/ wasnt happy etc. just because he was sacked dont mean they was planing it for a while... think some people only want to accept he was sacked for some ulterior motive, someone BIG to replace him or something..
bluesbrothers Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Former Leicester boss Nigel Pearson is also under consideration by City, and he has refused to answer questions on a possible return to the King Power Stadium. Suprise, suprise! As much as I liked Pearson's management, he was a brick wall to the media on even the most trivial subjects. But then, a bit of dull stability is exactly what we need now.

BrummieFOX Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 My biggest gripe will be that if we choose Hughes then why wait this long when it was obvious he wanted the gig and we wanted him? Yea **** interviewing anyone else to see if their fit with the club is better, are going to be able to get on with the owners and share the same ambitions! I'd be worried if they rushed into this. Can't see why people don't want them interviewing a number of people and finding the best fit for the job, it's same as any other business.
Horibbly Wrong Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Yea **** interviewing anyone else to see if their fit with the club is better, are going to be able to get on with the owners and share the same ambitions! We could go on til xmas interviewing.... we need someone signed up ready for the weekend, there are candidates ready to go now, candidates that - lets be fair - we will end up choosing between whether its now or next month!

How long did they take to sign Sven?

Babylon Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 How long did they take to sign Sven? FFS why do people keep using this as a bench mark? That was the exception to the rule, it rarely happens like that.
Joe. Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 If I was Pearson and got any advances I'd tell us to shove it. The owners ousted him in the first place, which as we all knew was a completely outrageous decision at the time. They've got it wrong twice, so you'd like to think they'll be making it third time lucky. As much as I'd love Pearson back here, he won't be having any of it.
hackneyfox Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 They did know who they wanted, his name was Martin O'Neill, but since that isnt happening now were having to look elsewhere. Do we know this to be a fact?

Whilst there may be true he felt he was on borrowed time with them on the horizon, there is nothing to back any of it up.
BIEREDeLuxe Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Clark is now as short as 2/7 at the bookies. http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/leicester-specials/next-permanent-manager
Babylon Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Why's it taking so long, Babs?! Milan won't answer his phone and they need him to pick the new manager.
MrSpaM Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Do we know this to be a fact? Granted it isnt fact, but i kind of got the impression we wernt even bothering talking to anybody else until we knew for sure MON wasnt a possibility, now were hearing that interviews are taking place with other managers, it kind of gives me the impression he's turned us down.
Joe. Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Pearson quit before they ever took over. Whilst there may be true he felt he was on borrowed time with them on the horizon, there is nothing to back any of it up. He did, but it seemed quite common knowledge that his departure was down to them. Nothing concrete as you say, but I believe those that were in the know at the time.

If Pearson is not interested he would have come out and said "absoluetly no way". The fact that he is refusing (as it has been rumoured) to comment means that he would consider it if everything worked out contractually.
Jacnah Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Actually I'm probably in a small minority but wouldn't mind if it was him or Paul Ince . The other names being bandied about aren't giving me cause for euphoria ( apart from MON and that probably isn't going to happen) Lets hope that you are indeed correct and that you are in a minority so small as to be virtually invisible
blueredswed Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 Milan won't answer his phone and they need him to pick the new manager. perhaps the price is to high not £1 here we goes I bid 10 times more ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,£ 10
markbsac Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 please please ...not mr boring monotone pearson...that bloke does my head in.
inckley fox Posted 1 November 2011 Posted 1 November 2011 please please ...not mr boring monotone pearson...that bloke does my head in. Absolutely. Why would we tolerate his soul-crushing dullness in exchange for such trivialities as promotion at the first attempt? Like, for instance, the last time we were in a bit of a pickle and gave him the job.
