There's tons of matches left to play As I said at the start of the season, West Ham will win the League. Their squad is very strong at this level and in Nolan they have the best midfielder in the Division. Then it's anyones... But probably Cardiff's Not likely, we don't at this moment look likley to challenge for shit!!

iancognito Posted 27 November 2011 Posted 27 November 2011 I can't see our form being ten points better than West Ham over the rest of the season, even if they have a slump we'd have to be near unbeaten. Southampton maybe will drop points, I wasn't overly impressed with them down here and they're a more open, attacking team. Brighton and Derby have both lost their form after a good start so it's not beyond belief that Saints could too. The key will be our form though. A 7 or 8 game run in this division and you can be out of sight because very few teams are capable of that sort of success rate.

Bausor Posted 27 November 2011 Posted 27 November 2011 With the fixures we have coming up i think we could and will go on a unbeaten run beat blackool and that could see us in the play offs, December looks very good all winnable at least draws should be interesting if we beat blackpool, going into the hull game peason can exploit the team he built he will know how should be a good game, Peterbrough at home should win Doncaster away another good chance xmas period all games at home another good chance, The fixture list is kind to us from now untill jan we need to take advantage and shoot up that table, get some confidence and any thing is possible. UP THE FOXES

Sven was 12pts away from 2nd when he took over NP was 12 pts away from 2nd when we took to the pitch against Palace NP has 6 games less than Sven to make it & because he arrived later missed the loan transfer window. It's going to be extremely, really extremely difficult, the slender points difference doesn't tell the whole story. I would hate for us to sign about 6 or 8 players in Jan to push for promotion, miss out because NP arrived too late & then have to sign about 15 players in the summer again We should build the squad, finish as high as we can, if it's 1st or 2nd then great, if it's 3rd to 6th then also great but if it's mid-table like last season then we shouldn't throw the baby out with the bathwater & have to rebuild all over again. I just hope we improve as team, yes of course I hope for promotion, but it's dangerous if we only ever plan for 1 season I really think we could have been more successful under Sven if he didn't sign almost a whole new side in January which all left at the end of the season to have to sign a whole new side again, if Sven had actually not aimed for promotion in Jan but instead just aimed to improve the squad & the league standing we wouldn't have had to sign a whole new team which obviously couldn't play together in the summer. Hindsights a wonderful thing though, obviously. I'd love being promoted, but I hope Jan doesn't signal a mad rush of short-termism again & everyone who is signed will not only help us in the short term but will also help us the following seasons too.
