fadedfox Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 I seriously don't think it is. Southampton and West Ham are better sides and I just can't see them falling away. Should we just aim for play offs?
ithuriel Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 There is a long way to go yet and one of them could self destruct so no, you aim for the highest finish possible. For us it depend's on who we sign as manager and how the player's respond.
DanTheFox07 Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 If we win 2morrow! deffo still on! got to be positive!
Benji Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 If we win tomorrow, we're bang on for automatic promotion. If we lose, I really fear for relegation.
Captain... Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 No chance, I mean I doubt any team will change position in the next 6 months this one of the most predictable leagues in the world, might as well just stop the season now.
Thracian Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Anything can happen in football. My lad would have won £600 today but for Liverpool drawing at home against Swansea!
The Doctor Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Really? A title win for Doncaster is still possible at this stage in the season, likewise Man City could still go down. I'm not saying it will happen, but to give up on automatic promotion so early, with the quality of the squad we've got, is just a little bit pathetic.
MPH Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 I remember after about seven games with Brighton playing great football people were saying they were dead certs for promotion.... Top of the league and everything.... They now haven't won for ten games and are sitting in 13th position... ANYTHING can happen...

acooling08 Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 I don't think we can catch Southampton and West Ham now. I'd prefer beating Derby in the Play Off final to going up in 2nd place anyway!
James18 Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 I think your worrying way to early on in the season. There's still ages to go and we have one of the best sides in the league with a new manager on the way. We could still win it
fadedfox Posted 6 November 2011 Author Posted 6 November 2011 I live in hope but I dont think we are better than west ham, there is no evidence to suggest otherwise
Wink Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Yes it is possible! Were not even half way through yet... Chill out!!
ozleicester Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Definitly still possible. This is the Championship and almost anything can happen. West Ham will have a form slump...Southampton arent that good, we will improve, Brum have games in hand... a Myriad options
topharry123 Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Honestly this post is pointless, it's far too early for this ! We're 16 games in, 30 to go. Southampton are doing well yes but there's so far to go that it's too early to call. West Ham and S'oton could both have a bad run and probably will, and the table is so tight that a lot of teams are back in there. This post is realistic in another 16 games, but right now it's far too early to contemplate who may or may not be in the top two come the end of the season.
Cecchini1976 Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Can't get my head round why this thread has started in November, way to early to tell what will happen, March maybe yes. Also have you seen the run of games til Feb? A good chance to get a run going. As for Southampton being better than us, that's a laugh. The only squad in this division that is arguably better is West ham
davieG Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 We're 9 points behind WHU with a game in hand and have 27 points alone to be won or lost between now and January 2012
He's not bald Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 We're 9 points behind WHU with a game in hand and have 27 points alone to be won or lost between now and January 2012 9 points behind, game in hand and the return fixture at the KP, win that as well and that's 3 points to make up on them over the rest of the season, easily doable!
Guest Col city fan Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 This ain't only about Leicester and whether we pick up points is it? It's also about west ham and the saints and whether they drop em... No signs of that happening at present...
dannythefox Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Why do people ask this question if we win today we'll be 6points behind 2nd and I think Southampton will start slipping up soon. There going along good at the minute but if they draw a couple and we win ours were well back in it and we still have to go there!
jonah Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 we are 1/3rd of the way through the season, if we win today we are 6 points behind West Ham and 11 behind Southampton. 1. we have to still play both of them 2.they have to still play each other 3.they both have to still play the rest of the teams in the play off positions 4. they will have to play teams scrapping for there lives toward season end. 5.they both will at some point during the season hit a sticky patch where results do not go right. 6.they have both to play Birmingham City (who are in as good a run of form as they both are) OF COURSE WE CAN STILL WIN IT!!! TALK TO ME ABOUT THE POINTS GAP IN FEB AND IF ITS STILL THE SAME I MIGHT HAVE SOME DOUBTS THEN.
Teapot. Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Well we could argue that we are better than Southampton (This is based on the match against them). It is just a shame that we aren't better than Bristol City.
