Hull refuse us permission to approach Pearson

How do you know it aint bullshit, it states skysport source, notice how they put SOURCE that is incase the rumour is wrong

Because Sky are very well connected.

They cant come out and say it outright to cover themselves, but I don't believe they would announce it if it was from a flimsy unreliable source.

That would make a mockery of their sports news channel.

They are in the get bums watching and reading business. LCFC certainly won't make them any more of a mockery.

What do football managers say " Never Go Back " i for one think we can do better than Nigel with football thats good to watch.

Redknapp and portsmouth are just one that spring to mind.

Not my 1st choice, but wonder where we'd be if he hadn't left for the year and a half, avoiding the disastrous Sousa & under-achiever Sven.

I can't see him getting anywhere near the same funds Sven half wasted though.

If no MoN or Hughes I'd quite happily say come on home Pearson, he's a better option than Jones who they've obviously spoke to, does make me wonder why not Davies though or perhaps it's his unpopularity on here.

it has been stated that the owners will give the new owner 20m to spend.

There are a few examples;

Kenny Dalglish

Tony Pulis

Graham Westley

Harry Redknapp

f**k sake of all the managers we go for pearson? god help us

The manager with the biggest win percentage in Leicester City history... oh yeah, why wouldn't we want him?

I've just seen Pearson interviewed on the subject after the Hull game yesterday, you can tell he wants to come back.

He's not the type to mince his words, and he is sitting on the fence big time.

the owners want someone that knows the league - pearson knows the league

it will also help he knows the club but no all the players but thats a good thing he comes in fresh and a much better squad than before, neison/ morrison, and the like, lol

he could work wonders with better players, and i think he will, hes never been given the chance to work with players like mills, jonhson, beckford, bamba, kasper, TOP get this DONE,

Last nights football league show interview gave it away for me, hes willing to come back after what i heard if hull accpet approch, its been refused so its now up to nige to come back to his beloved leicester

this will happen - just my opinon by the way.

come home mon nige lol

Reading this thread has left me dumbfounded at some of our fans. I hope you get stuck in traffic to the match, get your ball sack caught in your zip, get hit by a scolding hot cup of bovril by a Leeds fan and Leicester's new manager Roy Keane thumbs you for a lift home. Utter coonts.

If MON wasn't mentioned in the reckoning I am sure the majority would be pleased with NP, I obviously would have hoped that MON would return, but it wasn't to be happy with NP though

so they have not stated things from sources before that have been incorrect?

I probably agree but it's so strange. NP states he left us because we never blocked the approach and felt unwanted by that, now Hull have blocked an approach from us because obliviously they want to keep him. So does NP go back on his word and ask to speak to Leicester?

It's all very strange unless it was a big master plan all along. :dunno:

If it is a ploy to get another manager to make a move than it's a bloody stupid one and they shouldn't be using Hull and Nigel Pearson to do that quite frankly. I font think that is the case - I think the owners have failed to attract their top 3 choices and are now beginning to panic a bit. I've said for a while that I don't think they're handling this too well.

As for NP. I'd welcome him back - did a great job with limited resources. I think we'd see better football with the players now at our disposal but we'd also regain that ability to win ugly as well which u need to gain promotion.

Also, those people saying 'oh I don't want to see Fryatt and Hobbs back here' - why the **** would he bring them back? We were a different side then and both men did a good job for us which some people seem to have conveniently forgotten.

So we spent the last 18 months dismantling the squad that Pearson built and we are now going to reappoint him and wait for him to rebuild his former team? I don't have anything against Pearson, I think he is a good manager, but reappointing him now has made the last 18 months a complete waste of time. I am finding it difficult to get excited about this prospect.

It is clear that MON and Hughes are not interested in the job. Pretty disappointing.

Pearson left because he would have most likely have been sacked anyway, but I would sure as hell take him back! You know for a fact that he brings stability, organisation, discipline!

I couldn't agree more.

I've seen the story on the Sky Sports website. I didn't see any evidence of the following:

1) That any approach by us to Hull has actually been made.

2) That Pearson will be prepared to walk out his contract and rejoin us.

I can see what may tempt him to come back. Mandaric and Hoos are gone, the squad is a lot stronger than the one he left 16 months ago and there may be millions available for him to spend in January's transfer window.

But he's always appeared to be a man of honour. He probably prefers to stay at a club which offers more stability and whose fanbase don't have the same level of expectations that we do.

There's no smoke without fire.

I just hope Stringer has some other career options!

Were has it been said that Hughes isn't interested according to Fourth official he is.

If Hughes is interested then why on gods green earth have we approached Hull? After MON, Hughes would be my preferred choice. If Sparky is interested and MON isn't then give him the chuffin job! Approaching Hull is a bizarre decision if Pearson is not first choice.

I still hope he is but if so - why has nothing happened? (He's a free agent, money shouldnt be an issue either). And why are we making an approach for Nige? (If that is genuine but I don't see why it wouldn't be).
