MC Prussian Posted 8 November 2011 Posted 8 November 2011 Laser pens during football matches - tools for tools. There have been several incidents over here with idiots using them against train drivers and first-aid helicopter pilots. If only the culprits knew how risky that is.

I am Rod Hull Posted 8 November 2011 Posted 8 November 2011 They're very useful for when i'm teaching in a large lecture room and my presentation slides are on a big screen, handy for pointing at images, diagrams etc.
MC Prussian Posted 8 November 2011 Posted 8 November 2011 http://news.bbc.co.u.../tech/34229.stm Not dangerous I'm not talking about the theory of laser pointers causing blindness, it's about them being abused to distract and blind people temporarily. Which is both stupid and dangerous (when used against people with a certain amount of responsibility).

From the Mirror after our Coca-Cola Cup 1st leg v Wimbledon. http://www.thefreelibrary.com/LASER+LOUT+COULD%27VE+BLINDED+VINNIE!-a061128044 I don't condone this kind of thing, but Vinnie did make himself sound like a bit of a wuss.
